Orienteering there will be a long and short route. Both routes start and finish from the same place.
There is a 10km and a 20km route to choose from. The 10km will suit those who don't want to go too far or fast and just want an enjoyable route with nice scenery and new places to explore, some hills, expect to take 1-2 hours.
The 20km is more suited to adventurous horses and riders, some lovely scenery with opportunities for long trots and canters, quite a few hills so horses need to be reasonably fit, expect to take 3-5 hours.
Both routes have some roadwork but it is on quiet roads as much as possible, the majority is off road on bridleways.
Follow directions, answer questions and find things along the way. Fun and friendly competition or just come for a lovely hack. Ideally come in a pair or small team (as it makes it easier to follow the directions and answer the questions), but you can ride on your own if you want to! If you're on your own and would like to be paired up with someone/added to a team please comment in the notes when entering and I will try to arrange this.
We will issue your times 2 to 3 days before the event as groups will go at 10 minute intervals to give everyone some space on the route.
