General Information

  • Classes may run in a different order from that listed on the schedule.
  • If riders have time constraints, please clearly note this in the Class Requests section of the entry form and contact the event organiser.

Eligibility & Rules


Entries

  • Entries close: Monday 8th June 2026 (or earlier if full).
  • Reasonable Adjustment requests deadline: 31st May 2026.
  • This event will run alongside Munstead’s unaffiliated horse trials.
  • Please enter early where possible, as late entries may be turned away due to limited capacity.

Refunds

  • Refunds (less £15 admin fee) will only be issued if a doctor’s or vet’s certificate is emailed to the entries secretary before the event day.

Safety Requirements

Hats

  • All hats must display a visible HOT PINK BRC/BE/PC hat tag before being worn on the showground.
  • This confirms compliance with current safety standards.
  • A trained official will be available on the day to tag hats if required.
  • For full details, refer to the current Pony Club Handbook.

Body Protectors

  • Body protectors are mandatory for cross-country.
  • Must meet Level 3 BETA 2018 standard (blue tag).
  • Air jackets/vests may be worn in addition.

Reasonable Adjustments

  • The Pony Club is committed to ensuring accessibility for all members.
  • Reasonable Adjustments are measures to reduce the impact of a disability or difficulty.
  • Requests must:
    • Be submitted in writing
    • Include a supporting HO letter
    • Be sent to the secretary by Sunday 31st May 2026

Additional Notes

  • Tests at 70cm and 80cm may be commanded, and discreet voice use is permitted.
  • Spurs may only be worn (in any phase) by riders with a yellow hat tag.

The closing date of entries is 8th June, but if possible please enter before this date as the event is taking other Unaffiliated Entries as well and will close when full.  

Prize Information

 Rosettes for 1st - 6th in the 70 and 80. 

If we dont have enough 90cm and 100cm competitors for a full section, they will be put into the Open Sections of the Unaffiliated Horse Trials with a Rosette and Prize to the best PC Member in each section.

Terms & Conditions

Hats
If the date All hats must have a visible PINK BRC/BE/PC hat tag in place before they are worn on the showground, to show that they meet the current safety standards. There will be a trained official available on the day to do this for you if your hat does not currently have one. For up to date hat rules please see the current PC Rulebook. Hats must NOT have a fixed peak in any discipline where there are fixed cross country fences involved, however fixed peaks can be used, for dressage and show jumping ONLY.

Body Protectors
A body protector is obligatory in all cross-country competitions. The Blue 2018 Level 3 Label is now the only accepted standard for body protectors.

Riders wearing Exo Body Cage protectors must inform the secretary at all events, so as paramedics can be informed.
 

Health & Safety: Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers, officials and stewards.

 

Legal Liability: Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.

• This event is being run in conjunction with Munstead Unaffilated Horse trials. There will be classes open to all running on the same day.
