Entries close midday Sunday 7th June 2026 Late entries, if space available, are subject to £5.00 extra per class No email or telephone entries. Horse/ponies must be 4yrs old or over. Riders must be 8 years or over by the date of the competition.
The competition, which is open to all, will run over a mixed course of show jumps and cross-country fences on grass, ridden as a single round. Riders complete the show jumping course of approx. 8 fences, then continue straight onto the XC, which will consist of approx. 10 obstacles around two fields. The winner will be the rider who completes the entire course with the fewest number of penalties in the show jumping and XC overall, and closest to the optimum XC time.
Riders Eligibility Note: Riders who have completed under FEI Rules in the relevant discipline in the last 5 calendar years. For Eventing restrictions at 70-90 cms applies to 3* and above only. For 100 cms applies to 4* and above only.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: • All riders will compete in one section and scores will be used to determine the A&O IT Group SEEL Arena Eventing Championship and BRC qualifiers (see separate schedule). A surcharge of £10 will apply for those entering the SEEL Arena Eventing Championships. • BRC competitors may also compete in the SEEL Championships but the £10 surcharge applies. • Please check your entry carefully before submitting to ensure you have completed it correctly.

Course: The Eventers Challenge course is made up of a combination of approx. 8 show jumps and approx. 10 cross country obstacles. Riders complete the show jumping course, then ride straight out onto the cross-country course and ride the XC obstacles. There will be no break in between. The winners will be the competitors with the least number of penalties in the show jumping and XC, and closest to the optimum XC time. All classes will be run under British Riding Club Combined Challenge rules.
Dress: Correct riding attire must be worn in all classes. Cross-country colours or show jackets are acceptable, but body protectors must be worn. Correctly fitting hard hat manufactured to one of the minimum current standards (PAS 015 (2011) and VG1 with a kitemark, ASTM F1163: 2004a onwards with an SEI mark, SNELL E2016 with a SNELL label and number, AS/NZS 3838, from 2006 onwards with SAI global mark), BS EN1384:2023 with a three-point linkage properly adjusted and fastened, must be worn at all times when mounted at Lodge Farm. Hair must be kept no longer than collar length. Body protectors must be worn when competing in the cross-country phase and Level 3 blue BETA 2018 standard will be required when riding at any event. The purple BETA 2009 safety certification will no longer be permitted for use at competitions.
Bibs: Printed numbers will be issued. Please make sure you have your own competition bib with you. Bibs must be worn on top of clothing/body protectors with number showing.
Please abide by any signage. Spectators are welcome but please park as directed and not in the lorry park. Please keep children under close supervision. All dogs must be kept on SHORT leads (non-extending) at all times.
The ruling of the Judges, Fence Judges, Timekeepers and Stewards is final. A deposit of £15.00 must be lodged prior to an objection (in writing), which will be returned if the objection is upheld.
The Organisers reserve the right to refuse entry to any class for whatever reason they deem necessary, to disqualify any rider at any stage, to alter the schedule at any time. Should the event be abandoned then a £4.00 admin fee will be retained on all refunds. No liability shall fall on the Organisers, Landowners, Judges and Officials in respect of any loss, damage or injury howsoever caused and all competitors are deemed to be liable to indemnify the said persons in respect of any such loss, damage or injury.
