Show Information

The Arena one day event is a dynamic competition combining dressage, showjumping, and arena cross-country in one exciting day. Riders begin with a dressage test to showcase precision and harmony before tackling a continuous jumping round that blends technical showjumps with solid cross-country style fences. Designed to test rhythm, control, and boldness, the event offers classes from 60cm to 1m with dressage tests to mirror the jump heights, welcoming riders of all levels. With professional judges, a friendly atmosphere, and excellent facilities, it provides an enjoyable and challenging experience that celebrates the true spirit of eventing — all within a single, well-organised competition day.

Payment is secure and it goes directly to BCA.
You will receive an email confirmation of your booking and payment.

Rosettes to 6th Place in each class. 

 

Special Classes

 The classes will run in the following format: 

  • Class 1: Intro 1 (2024) - 60cm jumps
  • Class 2: Intro 2 (2024) - 70cm jumps 
  • Class 3: Prelim 1 (2024) - 80cm jumps
  • Class 4: Prelim 2 (2024) - 90cm jumps 
  • Class 5: Novice 1 (2024) - 1m jumps

There will be refreshments and catering on site.

Withdrawals/Refunds

 Refunds will only be granted on receipt of a Vet/doctors note within 48 hours of the event starting. 

Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions – Three Phase Eventer Trial

 

  1. Entries & Refunds

    • Entries must be made in advance via the official entry platform.

    • Entry fees are non-refundable after the closing date unless a veterinary or medical certificate is provided within 7 days of the event.

    • The organisers reserve the right to close entries early if classes are full, or to cancel or combine classes if necessary.

  2. Eligibility & Class Heights

    • Competitors must enter the appropriate class for their ability and that of their horse.

    • Class heights are approximate and may include a small number of combinations slightly above the stated height.

  3. Dressage Phase

    • Tests will be ridden on grass or an arena surface, as stated in the schedule.

    • Callers are permitted unless otherwise stated.

    • Any errors of course will incur penalties as per standard dressage rules.

  4. Jumping Phase

    • The showjumping and arena cross-country phases will run as a continuous round.

    • Competitors must wear an up-to-standard body protector and hat (see Rule 5).

    • Knockdowns, refusals, and time penalties will be scored cumulatively across both sections.

    • The course must be completed in the correct order; any deviation will result in elimination.

  5. Rider & Horse Equipment

    • All riders must wear a current BETA Level 3 body protector (2018 or newer) and a PAS 015 (2011) / VG1 / ASTM F1163 / Snell E2016 approved helmet.

    • Air jackets may be worn in addition to, but not instead of, a body protector.

    • Whips must comply with British Eventing whip rules (a BE-compliant baton whip).

    • Horses must be at least 4 years old and in good health to compete.

  6. Conduct & Welfare

    • Abuse of horses, poor sportsmanship, or inappropriate behaviour towards officials or volunteers will not be tolerated.

    • The organisers, landowners, and officials accept no responsibility for accidents, injury, loss, or damage to competitors, spectators, animals, or property.

    • All competitors take part at their own risk.

  7. General

    • Times will be published on the event website or social media pages prior to the competition.

    • Dogs must be kept on leads at all times.

    • Please respect the venue and take all litter and droppings home.
