First aid will be limited to NHS emergency call-out only.
LIABILITY
The organisers and landowners accept no responsibility for any loss, damage, injury, or illness to horses, riders, spectators, vehicles, personal belongings, or property—howsoever caused. This applies whether the incident arises from negligence, breach of contract, or any other cause.
ARENA ACCESS
Only authorised personnel may enter competition or warm-up arenas. No unauthorised entry is permitted.
RIDING ATTIRE & EQUIPMENT
Approved hard hats must be worn at all times when mounted, with the chin strap securely fastened.
Acceptable hat standards include PAS015 (1998 or 2011), VG1 01.040 (2014-12), ASTM F1163 (2004a), and SNELL E2001 or E2016. Helmets must carry a BSI Kitemark or Inspec IC mark.
Riders must wear appropriate dress: a short riding coat of a conservative colour, white or neutral breeches, suitable boots or jodhpur boots, and gloves in a conservative colour.
Horses must wear a numnah in a conservative colour.
HORSE ELIGIBILITY
No horse or pony under the age of 4 may be entered in any class.
CONDUCT & WELFARE
The judge’s decision is final.
The organisers reserve the right to refuse or cancel any entries at their discretion.
Misuse of whips or spurs may result in disqualification at the judge’s discretion.
Whips exceeding 30” in length are not permitted.
Lunging is not allowed anywhere on the showground.
CLEANLINESS
All participants must remove droppings, hay, and other waste from the showground before departure.
RESULTS
We aim to distribute score sheets and rosettes on the day of the event. A full results summary will be published within two days after the competition.
VACCINATIONS
All horses must be fully up to date with their 12-month Equine Influenza vaccinations. Random passport checks will be conducted throughout the day. Please ensure you have your horse’s passport on hand with proof of valid vaccination.
ENTRIES
Entries are accepted entirely at the rider’s own risk.
No Stress Equine Events reserves the right to refuse entries or to cancel, amend, or combine classes for any reason.
INSURANCE
All competitors must hold appropriate personal liability insurance, whether via membership with a recognised organisation (e.g. Riding Club, Pony Club, BHS, BS, BD, BE) or through independent coverage.
HEALTH & SAFETY
The organisers have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. It is the responsibility of all attendees to avoid accidents and follow the instructions of event officials, stewards, and organisers. Any accidents must be reported to the event secretary or organiser immediately.
DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
Except in the case of death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, no liability is accepted for any accident, injury, illness, loss, or damage to any person, animal, vehicle, or property, however caused.
