Show Information

Come along and perfect your position on one of the Mechanical Horses and then put it into practice on your own horse the following day! You must be available to do both days for this clinic as the idea is to work with Amelia on both the mechanical horses and your own horses in succession to achieve the best results.

SATURDAY 26TH JULY - MECHANICAL HORSE TRAINING SESSIONS:
These sessions will be held at Amelia’s workshop in Hartfield. Sessions start at 9am and are done in groups of two riders at a time. We have a limited number of spaces for this so it will be first come first served. If you wish to go with a friend please let me know at time of booking. The Mechanical Horses lessons are held in a purpose built workshop housing two mechanical horses. Both simulators allow the rider to practice and develop their position and riding skills for dressage, flat work and jumping. One horse has three speeds of trot and this allows the rider to practice both sitting and rising trot. The second simulator is a canter-gallop simulator with five speeds. Both models allow the rider to develop their position for both flatwork, jumping and fast work. Work using both horses can be incorporated in each session ensuring the rider practices and achieves their session aims. The benefits of mechanical horse sessions are far reached. They include:
• Developing riding skills while maintaining rider safely
• Developing rider confidence
• Developing rider balance and co-ordination
• Developing an independent seat and core stability
• Developing rider position, framework and symmetry

SUNDAY 27TH JULY – RIDDEN TRAINING SESSIONS:
Held in the indoor school at Crockstead. Sessions will start at 9am and are done in the same pairs as the mechanical horse lessons. Bring your own horse for a lesson with Amelia to carry what you learnt on the mechanical horses over into your ridden work. Each session is 1 hour long. Amelia has over 25yrs experience with horses and riders of all levels and an excellent skillset that will help improve your confidence and fine tune your riding performance.
