Eligibility for all classes can be found in the current BRC Handbook. Eligibility will be taken from the close of pre-entries. All competitors must be a member by the Friday before the qualifier. Anyone failing to meet the eligibility criteria will be disqualified and informed by BRC HQ when the results are processed. Entries and Times: Pre-entry deadline Friday 23rd May. All entrants for the QUALIFIER SECTIONS must submit a pre-entry to BRC (fees can be found in the current BRC Handbook) at least 21 days before the date of the qualifier. Pre-entries can be made via the pre-entry website https://brc.bhs.org.uk/login?referral=%2Fselect . (Late pre-entries may be accepted at the discretion of the organiser with a late surcharge of £5 per individual and £10 per team (payable to BRC HQ) if space permits. Late entries cannot be guaranteed and therefore must not be paid for until approval from the organiser has been gained)
Once the pre-entry has been made, a detailed area entry must be made via My Riding Life. Please ensure that entries are made ONLY by team managers.
This competition will run under BRC Rules, anyone in attendance will be bound by the BRC Code of Conduct. It is important that all competitors are aware of the rules relating to this competition – please see the current BRC Handbook and also the BRC Rule Amendments and Changes Document.
Hats All hats must have a visible HOT PINK BRC/BE/PC hat tag in place before they are worn on the showground, to show that they meet the current safety standards. There will be a trained official available on the day to do this for you if your hat does not currently have one. For up-to-date hat rules please see the current BRC Handbook. Hats with a fixed peak can ONLY be used for dressage and show jumping. Body Protectors A body protector is not obligatory for dressage competitions. However, competitors may wear an up to standard body protector should they wish to, the BETA 2018 Blue Label is the only recognised standard for Body Protectors at BRC Events. For further details please see the BRC Handbook. Riders wearing Exo Body Cage protectors must inform the secretary at all events, so as paramedics can be informed
Helpers All participating BRC Clubs must provide one full day helper or two half day helpers. Please email the name and contact numbers of your helper/s to corinnestaples@yahoo.co.uk by 7pm Friday 30th May. Please state also if they willing to be a dressage writer or have experience scoring etc. Clubs are responsible to cover their helper duties. THIS IS A CONDITION OF ENTRY
Flu Vaccinations Your horse must have up to date influenza vaccinations following rule G7 in the current BRC Handbook. Horses and ponies cannot be vaccinated within the 6 days before competition. Please ensure all passports and vaccinations are updated on the Area 17 database by the close of entries.
Venue Requirements of Competitors/Visitors. Wood Farm access- All lorries and trailers if coming from the Meon Hut/A32, take the A272 and Tithelands Lane. Do not come via Woodlands as not suitable for lorries What3Words///shelving.cornering.risen Please ensure all dropping and hay are picked up from the lorry park and taken away with you. Please park considerately All dogs must be kept on short leads at all times, please ensure you clean up after your dog. Please note the venue is a busy working farm. Please be respectful of this. Do not venture into other areas of the Farm, the surfaced arenas, or livery yard. No lunging. No horses and ponies to be left tied to lorries or trailers unattended at any time.

NO REFUNDS FOR WITHDRAWAL Substitutions In the event of withdrawals, substitutions will be allowed. The deadline for complex substitutions will be by 7th June at 6pm. Simple substitutions may be made at the time riders are declared. A complex substitution is one where teams are re-arranged or horse & rider combinations are moved from one team to another. Simple substitutions are ones where a horse & or rider replaces the withdrawn one in the same team & position.
1. The competition will be run according to BRC rules 2025 2. Passport copies must be held on the Area 17 database – no need to send again with entries. 3. Flu vaccination record must comply with the 2025 BRC policy – currently annual vaccinations. 4. Any protest against a decision of the judges should be made in accordance with BRC handbook. 5. Protective headwear for all classes must comply with BRC rules 2025 All competitors in the qualifying classes must ensure their hat is PINK tagged by the Official Steward. Accepted hat standards: 6. Under BRC rules, any rider who has a fall from their horse anywhere on the showground CANNOT participate further in the competition that day. This includes falls in the warm up arena or lorry park. Any breach of this rule will be reported to the Official Steward. Team managers are responsible for making sure all riders understand and accept this rule. 7. Saddle or bridle numbers must be displayed on BOTH sides 8. Dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times and not left unattended. 9. The organiser of this event has taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents and shall obey the instructions of the organiser and all officials and stewards. Further information on BRC’s health and safety guidelines can be found in Section 3.7 page 126 of the BRC handbook. 10. It is a condition of entry that neither the organisers nor landowners not their agents shall be held responsible for any loss, injury, damage to competitors, onlookers, their property, horses or ponies, howsoever caused. 11. The organisers reserve the right to cancel the event, alter classes, judges, times or any other published information. In the event of cancellation, a proportion of entry fees will be retained for administration purposes.
