Show Information

The Club Jumping Series

The aim of this series is to create an accessible and inclusive Show Jumping series for BRC members who currently do not take part in other BRC qualifiers, who are new to BRC and maybe have never jumped before.

The Series currently covers BRC areas: 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 13, 14 and 17

Horse/pony and rider combinations qualify for the Finals. To qualify for the finals, competitors must complete two clear rounds at the relevant height at club competitions in the relevant areas.

The qualification period is 1 April – 18 August 2025

The Finals will take place on 6 September at Bury Farm Equestrian

Entries close on Sunday 31st August.

Classes
The heights will be as follows:
• cross pole/40cm
• 50cm
• 60cm

At the Final classes will split if entries are sufficient to the following:
under 18 – may be assisted* (restricted eligibility.) Competitor must not have attained his/her 18th birtthday by the first date of the Championship (6th September)
18 and over – may be assisted* (restricted eligibility). Competitor is 18 or over on the first date of the Championship (6th September)
Open - Open section at the Finals has no eligibility restrictions on either horse or rider but should not be entered by those capable of competing at higher heights. Open sections may be assisted*
*Assisted - One assistant per rider is permitted. Where an assistant enters the arena to help a competitor, they may move around the ring and be alongside the horse but must not jump the fences. Coaching & encouragement around the course is permitted. No lead rein allowed.

The Competition
At the Finals the competition will be run under BRC SJ rules using a single-phase format. If a rider is clear, they will proceed straight onto a jump-off course which will be timed. Warm up classes are offered at each Championship height. Warm Up classes will run in a separate arena to Championship classes, and will be timed to coincide with the Championship class to allow riders to use the warm up classes as good preparation for their Championship class.
