British Riding Clubs Information Posters for Hat Rules and Body Protector guidelines 2023.

As per the BRC 2022 Rule Book PAS 015: 1998 and SNELL E2001 will no longer be accepted from 1st January 2023.  In addition, body protectors with a 2000 label will not be accepted.

The new standards apply to all BRC events from 1st January 2023.  The new pink tags will be phased in during 2023.  Hat tags are only required for Area Qualifiers and BRC Championships (they don’t have to be tagged for Riding Club events but must comply with BRC rules).

It is the competitors’ responsibility to ensure they arrive at a competition with a hat to the correct standard so it is therefore imperative that you check your hats before you get to the event, in order to avoid disappointment. To do this: 1) Use the following information or the BRC 2023 Handbook for reference 2) Check that your hat clearly displays one of the accepted standards 3) Check that the standard also shows the correct corresponding date 4) Check that your hat also displays the correct corresponding quality assurance mark 5) Make sure that you do not remove any labels from inside your hat which may hold the relevant information, as a hat will not be tagged without all of the required information visible and attached.

. It is the responsibility of all participants to clear up their rubbish and debris and leave the showground fit for grazing. Please do not muck out your horsebox/trailer on the showground

The organisers of these shows have taken reasonable precaution to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey instructions of the organiser and all the officials and stewards.
