You can only enter two classes per horse/pony. Your first round must be the counting score towards the team event. Entry Fee £13.00 per class. Start times will be available on the Kennaa Riding Club website and facebook page on the Friday evening preceding the event. Please put your team name in the notes column on your entry. You must be a member of Kennaa Riding club to be able to compete.

Dress Code: you must wear a correctly fitting and compliant body protector and hat (with no fixed peak) Hair must be tied up above shoulder length. Cross Country colours are optional. You will not be able to compete unless these rules are adhered to.

Arena Eventing Penalties – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Whip Rule – The whip (only a baton type can be used) must ONLY be used for an appropriate reason, at an appropriate time, on the correct area of the horse and with the appropriate level of response. It must never be used to vent a riders temper, any such reason will result in disqualification. For more information, please see the notice board at Kennaa, or visit www.bhs.org.uk search for the handbook, page 35.

Results

The class winners will be the competitor with the lowest number of penalties. In the event of a tie, the winner will be the one who completes the cross country section in the shortest time.

Team Winners will be decided by adding all 4 team members penalties together, if there is a tie, all times will be added together, and the quickest team will be placed higher. If a team member is eliminated, they will receive 20 points more than the last placed competitor in the class.

 Please remember that for safety arena eventing is about jumping clear in a forward rhythm and not galloping flat out!!! 

Please note that to compete at a Kennaa Riding Club event you need to be a paid up member of the Club.

A: You can enter using our Secure Online Entry System.
Payment is secure and it goes directly to Kennaa Riding Club.
You will receive an email confirmation of your class entry and payment.
B: Complete an Entry Form and send it together with your cheque made payable to "Kennaa Riding Club " to: Event Secretary, Mrs G Hadfield, Sunninglye, Main Road, Glen Vine, IM4 4AZ – NB – One cheque per event entered.

Prizes for the top 3 teams have kindly been provided by Energy FM – please be available for presentation at the end of the event. We will try and have this as soon as possible after the last class has finished.

Rules for Team Arena Eventing 2024

1. Teams will be made up of 4 riders on 4 different horses / ponies. All 4 scores to count with appropriate penalties added to the score of those eliminated with no discard scores.

2. A competitor may ride a second horse in the same event, but for a different team.

3. Team entries must be declared before the entry deadline – please confirm team name in the notes column on your entry. Team colours etc are encouraged as long as you still comply to safety wear and do not spook other competitors horses.

4. All riders must be suitably mounted.

5. The first performance of the day of members to count for the team score. Performing at a lower level than the team declaration is not allowed. Riders may enter other classes but only after the counting team effort.

6. Lead rein riders are sadly excluded this time. 

HEALTH AND SAFETY. The organisers and landowners accept no responsibility for any loss or damage to any person, animal, vehicle or property whatsoever – however caused. Owners/riders enter entirely at their own risk and it is a condition of entry that no liability of any kind attaches itself to the organisers, judges or landowner at the event in any respect whatsoever.
