 All horses and ponies must be registered with the British Showjumping rule 79 and ridden by members in accordance with this rule.

Any competitor found schooling in the arenas without permission will be disqualified from the show and reported to the British Show Jumping.

Our Terms & Conditions Withdrawals, refunds, and disclaimers, please read these at the bottom of the schedule when booking.  Stables are paid for at the time of booking and will only be refunded up to 7 days before the show.

 Entry Bookings : All entries must be made online via My Riding Life. Changes to classes must be done by email to equestrian@coombelands-stables.com only by the following times:

Changes for Tuesday – BEFORE 3PM Monday

Changes For Wednesday – BEFORE 3PM Tuesday

Changes for Thursday – BEFORE 3PM Wednesday

Any changes after the 3pm deadline will incur a £5 transfer fee and you will be first in the drawn order. We will not republish the start list for the following day – Judges and Collecting ring will have the correct start list. Competitors drawn early please check with your collecting ring steward to make sure that I have not added anyone to go ahead at the start of the class.

Drawn orders will be available the day before your classes by 6pm.

Entries must be made online and will close when the show day is full or by 3pm.

All entries will be on a first come first served basis. Once an arena is at capacity, no more entries will be taken.

British Showjumping numbers for riders and horses/ ponies should be completed on entry forms. A £5.00 admin charge will occur if these details have not been completed.

Transfers between classes will be taken for competitors who have entered prior to the closing date. The Transfer must be made before 3pm on the day prior to the change and can only be transferred with the same day not from one day to another.

Late entries are entries that are taken after the start of the first class on the first day of the show. A charge of £5.00 per horse, per class will be added to the account when the entry is made.

Late entries must bring their British Showjumping cards to the office when the entering and if this is not complied with you will purchase a ‘Ticket to ride’ and abide by these rules.

Stabling Information: Yes

 

Stabling will be open by 10am day before the show.

Stables and sundries may only be booked with entries online via our online booking system.

 If found occupying a stable that you have not been allocated to and booked and paid for in advance there will be an automatic charge of £50 and you will not be allowed to jump until this fine has been paid. 

 Stallions:

Stallions must be declared when booking stables. Stallions will only be stabled in the allocated stallion boxes. If you arrive with a stallion having not booked a Stallion box and there are no stallion boxes available, your horse will be sent home.

Prize Information

 

FOR ALL CLASSES : IN THE EVENT OF INSUFFICIENT ENTRIES LOWER PRIZES WILL BE WITHHELD - rule 76.6

Prize giving format at the show will be advised at the event/or on drawn order publication.

Results will be published on the website on the day but will be subject to British Showjumping show office verification. Results may be monitored in real time via the British Showjumping website 'live results' facility and you are recommended to check your result is as you expect in this system on the day.

Prize money will be paid via one or more refund payments to the booking party for the award winning class on the online payment platform, returning to the original payment means used for the transaction(s) refunded. (maximum that can be paid per transaction is the value of the original booking less any refunds already paid back to it - e.g. for on time class withdrawals)

Where winnings exceed the value of all eligible online booking transactions made by the booking party (i.e. made within the past 180 days), we will, then only, request your bank information and pay by bank transfer - FOR YOUR SECURITY PLEASE DO NOT send bank information unless and until asked, This request will be by email from our prime email address and with verification data from the booking included in the request. If you do not wish to supply bank information, a cheque can be posted to you (P&P deducted).

All refunds for prize money payments due will be issued within 14 days of the last day of the  event, in accordance with BS rules. The email included on the refunded booking will be sent notification of the refund having been issued. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE PROCESSING OF THE ONLINE PAYMENT PLATFORM PROVIDERS CAN TAKE TYPICALLY 0-5 DAYS FROM OUR ISSUE TO REACH YOUR ACCOUNT(S). Please therefore allow this time plus 14 days before querying any payments due and be sure to check on your original payment means for receipt.

ANY ACCOUNTS REMAINING UNPAID FOR THIS OR OTHER EVENTS or DEBTS DUE TO THE VENUE, EITHER BY THE AWARD WINNING BOOKING PARTY, OR THE RIDER, OR THE OWNER (actual or as on entry) AS CONCERNED, WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY DEDUCTED FROM ANY PRIZE PAYMENTS DUE.

 

 

Special Classes

 

Coombelands 90cm Grand Prix incorporating the highest 4yr old

Open to qualified Horse only. Your horse must have competed in Class 1 to qualify for the 90cm open Grand Prix. This class will also include a prize for the highest placed Billy Stud Auction bought horse.

Coombelands 1.05m Grand Prix incorporating the highest 5yr old

Open to qualified Horse only. Your horse must have competed in Class 2 to qualify for the 1.05m Open. This class will also include a prize for the highest placed Billy Stud Auction bought horse.

Coombelands 1.20m Grand Prix incorporating the highest 6yr old.

In order to jump in Class 12 1.20 Open 6yo Grand prix your horse must have jumped in either class 3, 4, 8 or 9 to qualify for this class. There will be a prize for the highest placed 6yo and Highest placed Billy Stud Auction bought horse.

Coombelands 1.30m Grand Prix incorportating the highest 7yr old.

In order to jump in Class 13 Senior 1.30 Open Grand prix incorporating the 7yo. Your horse must have jumped in either class 4, 5, 9 or 10 to qualify for this class. There will be a prize for the highest placed 7yo and Highest placed Billy Stud Auction bought horse. Top 6 Mounted and 7yo and Highest placed Billy stud auction bought horse.

Coombelands 1.40, Grand Prix

Class 14 (Senior 1.40 Thakeham Grand Prix) no qualification needed.

Coombelands U25 1.25m/1.35m Handicap Grand Prix

Class 15 Senior 1.25m/1.35 Handicap U25 Grand prix. Horse and Rider combination must have jumped in either class 4, 5, 9 or 10 to qualify for the U25 GP. Top 6 mounted Prize giving. Qualification for riders 25th birthday falls on or after January 1st 2024.

 

Withdrawals/Refunds

Affiliated shows are required to repay 50 % of the entry fees in respect of all entry cancellations which are received by the Show Organiser not later than 48 hours before noon of the day on which the first affiliated competition of the show is scheduled to start except in those circumstances outlined in Rule 79.5.

GENERAL RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY

I, the undersigned, in consideration of being permitted to be on the grounds of Coombelands Equestrian and Coombelands Racing Stables LLP (the “Grounds”), and being permitted to participate in various related activities while on the Grounds including participation in but not Limited to cross – country, show jumping gallops and equine swimming pool, being permitted to be a spectator or in the vicinity of horses, a player, trainer, owner, attendant, referee or umpire, taking lessons, walking or riding, stabling, livery, or grooming or in any other way handling horses (all of the foregoing by way of example and not by way of limitation) (the “Activities”), by execution of this General Release and Waiver of Liability hereby:

 

1.     Understanding

Confirm that I understand and acknowledge that activities involving horses can be dangerous and horses can act in a sudden and unpredictable (changeable) way, especially if frightened or hurt.   There is a significant risk that serious INJURY or DEATH may result from any such activities.

 

2.     Release Waiver

Acknowledge that I knowingly and freely assume all such risks, both known and unknown and I voluntarily participate at my own risk and assume sole responsibility for any injury, death or property damage I may suffer that arises from my participation in the Activities.

 

RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE, you or any of your Directors, Associates or employees, for any loss or damage, and any claims, including any claim for death or personal injury (other than caused by your negligence), or injury to me or my ponies, or loss of personal property, whether arising from control or supervision of spectators, providing or failing to provide medical care, first aid, emergency communications, emergency transportation, or design, maintenance or repair of any facility or anything or any other act caused by you or otherwise while I am in or upon the Grounds.

 

3.     Risk of Personal Property

Confirm that all personal property kept, placed or left on or about the Grounds shall be at my sole risk as to loss, theft, injury or damage and you shall have no responsibility for such loss, theft, injury of damage for any such personal property (including but not limited to ponies, tack and vehicles).

 

4.     Assumption of Risk

Acknowledge and agree that equestrian activities are dangerous and involve risk of serious injury and/or death and/or property damage and that such activities are extremely dangerous and hazardous.  I consciously and voluntarily assume all such risks, dangers and hazards inherent in these activities. 

 

I acknowledge that I need to be medically fit enough to participate in the Activities and that it is up to me to liaise with a doctor about this.  I also acknowledge that I should not attempt any activities which are outside of my ability.

 

I accept full responsibility for myself, my guests, my pupils, my employees and my/their animals.

 

 

5.     Damage

Agree to be wholly responsible for all damage caused by me, my guests, my employees, my animals, or anyone on the Grounds with my consent or at my request.

 

 

6.     Insurance

Confirm that I have adequate insurance including £5,000,000 of third party public liability to protect my exposure and those of my horses.  I further confirm that if I bring anyone employed by me to the Grounds I will have the appropriate employers’ liability insurance.

 

If instructing or hosting a clinic, I hold the relevant insurance, including public and personal liability insurance.

 

7.     Behavior

Confirm that I understand that you expect:

(a)   anyone attending the Grounds to behave and control their children and pets; and

(b)   that all players will participate in an attitude of fair play, good sportsmanship and mutual respect amongst the spectators and players alike. 

 

I understand and acknowledge the dangers associated with the consumption of alcohol or any mind altering drugs before and during any of the Activities and I agree not to consume alcohol or any mind altering drugs during any of the Activities while on the Grounds and I take full responsibility for any injury, loss or damage associated with their consumption. 

 

I agree not to take drugs prohibited by law before, during or after any of the Activities.

 

I confirm that all my employees are legally allowed to work in the United Kingdom.

 

8.     Safety Equipment

I agree to wear or use any recommended safety equipment while on the Grounds, in particular whilst mounted:

 

(a)    a helmet;

(b)   back protector; and

(c)    appropriate footwear.

 

9.     Instructions

I agree:

 

(a)     to abide by, follow and adhere to all the rules, regulations and by-laws which apply to the Activities or at the Grounds or any instructions given to me or in relation to the Activities or the Grounds from time to time. 

(b)     to follow the directions of any event organiser or official.

(c)     that any misconduct or refusal by me to follow any direction of any organiser or official can result in the CANCELLATION of my participation in the Activities and my immediate removal from my horse NO MATTER where that may occur.

 

10.  Acknowledgement

Confirm that I have had sufficient opportunity to read this document and having carefully read and understood the above, I fully understand its terms and the risks set forth herein and agree to accept full responsibility for my exposure to such risks.  Furthermore, I acknowledge a full and complete understanding for the limitations of liabilities and waiver of certain rights that I may have and granting of releases contained herein and knowingly, freely and voluntarily consent thereto.
