Terms & Conditions

BLUE LIGHTS HORSE SHOW

PLANNING ENTRIES
All efforts will be made to accommodate multiple entries. Please consider when entering classes that they aim to run where possible in schedule order and so what looks like a clash on the schedule will likely mean a clash at the show. Entries are not refundable for classes missed on this basis. Riders will be notified of class start times prior to the show and any decision to proceed with classes where times may conflict will be the responsibility of the rider should a class be missed.

CLASS TIMES - SHOWING ARENAS
Competitors are asked NOT to request that Show Ring Stewards bring any class time forward ahead of the posted start times irrespective of a clear arena. To do so would result in unfairly disrupting other competitors pre-notified start times and class preparations. Show Ring Stewards will be available to advise competitors when to enter allocated warm up arenas prior to each class.

CLASS TIMES - SHOW JUMPING and DRESSAGE ARENAS
Riders are asked NOT to request that Warm Up Arena Stewards vary individual times unless there are extenuating circumstances. Extenuating circumstances will be referred to the judge for consideration and will also be subject to availability of any later time allocation considering other class times. Any rider not present and ready to enter the arena for their allotted class time will be subject to class disqualification. Riders must ensure that they have arrived at the warm-up arena and allowed sufficient time to be ready when for their class time. SJ Arena Stewards will be present to oversee the health and safety of riders and numbers within the warm-up arena and notify riders when they can enter the SJ arena. Should the number of riders in the warm-up arena become too high – Arena Stewards may require riders to leave the warm-up arena giving precedence to those whose class times are nearest. SJ Arena stewards will advise riders how classes are running considering times but it remains the responsibility of riders to present themselves to the SJ Arena stewards at their allotted times.

COURTEOUS CONDUCT & BEHAVIOUR
Competitors must be courteous and respectful to all show goers, fellow competitors and show officials and must abide by directions of show stewards and officials at all times. Discourteous conduct may result in competitors being required to leave the show ground without being permitted to compete and for which refunds of remaining entries will not be considered.

WARM UP ARENAS
The number of competitors permitted to ride within warm up arenas and competing arenas may be subject to additional restrictions in place on the dates of the show due to venue rules and other associated Health & Safety; Sport England or other Pandemic legislation. Any future revisions to published Show Schedules will be posted within our online entry system.

Competitor numbers & times will be posted prior to the show dates. Acceptance of further schedule revisons due to any covid restrictions, any human or equine health declaration stipulation, or to faciliate show planning and show entries is taken as a condition of entry.

Any future schedule revisions will be notified to all entered competitors. for non-entered competitors the current uploaded online schedule should be re-visited and referred to for clarification of any revisions nor amendments prior to booking entries. Blue Lights Horse Shows [BLHS] reflect BD/BS/BRC rules and overarching FEI guidance. BLHS undertake to ensure all appropriate health and safety and event insurance arrangements are in place. On an individual basis – riders and any persons attending BLHS - acknowledge as a condition of entry that they attend and enter classes at their own risk - recognising that equestrian activities can be a high-risk sport and that equines can be unpredictable animals - riders at BLHS whether competing or not must ensure they have relevant and adequate insurance provision in place to cover all ridden activities at BLHS and any additional third-party liabilities. All 2023 events will be managed and risk assessed by BLHS and the hosting venue. Additionally - where necessary – event planning may need to comply with covid requirements or other restrictive provisions and so may be subject to alterations or cancellations in part or full. Entry to BLHS is taken as acceptance of any future revision or alteration of event information and scheduling previously published for any reason. If cancellation of BLHS in its entirety should be required for any reason – class entries may be transferred to a future show date or refunded as appropriate and at the discretion of BLHS - subject to an administration fee.
