Entries close at 12noon Friday 14th April. No late / text entries will be accepted.

Rules: - Please read rules of entry

You can only enter two classes per horse/pony. Your first round must be the counting score towards the team event. Entry Fee £13.00 per class. Start times will be available on the Kennaa Riding Club website and facebook page on the Thursday evening preceding the event.

You must be a member of Kennaa Riding club to be able to compete.

Dress Code: you must wear a correctly fitting and compliant body protector and hat (with no fixed peak) Hair must be tied up above shoulder length. Cross Country colours are optional. You will not be able to compete unless these rules are adhered to.

Whip Rule – NEW FOR 2023! The whip must ONLY be used for an appropriate reason, at an appropriate time, on the correct area of the horse and with the appropriate level of response. It must never be used to vent a riders temper, any such reason will result in disqualification.  Results

The winner will be the competitor with the lowest number of penalties. In the event of a tie, the winner will be the one who completes the cross country section in the shortest time. 

 

 Please remember that for safety arena eventing is about jumping clear in a forward rhythm and not galloping flat out!!!

Please note that to compete at a Kennaa Riding Club event you need to be a paid up member of the Club.

A: You can enter using our Secure Online Entry System.
Payment is secure and it goes directly to Kennaa Riding Club.
You will receive an email confirmation of your class entry and payment.
B: Complete an Entry Form and send it together with your cheque made payable to "Kennaa Riding Club " to: Event Secretary, Mrs G Hadfield, Sunninglye, Main Road, Glen Vine, IM4 4AZ – NB – One cheque per event entered.

Rules for MHC Challenge Events 2023

 

1. All team members must be bona fide members of an organisation affiliated to the Manx Horse Council and with affiliation fees paid for that year. Teams will be made up of 4 riders on 4 different horses /ponies unless stipulated otherwise. All 4 scores to count with appropriate penalties added to the score of those eliminated with no discard scores.

2. A competitor may ride a second horse in the same challenge if entries allow but only for a "B" team from the same organisation as their first ride.

3. Team entries must be declared before the entry deadline.

4. Riders must be suitably mounted. Horses and ponies must be up to the weight to be carried and be an appropriate size for the task in hand. The final decision will be made by the chairperson of the Manx Horse Council or by an individual appointed by the chairperson.

5. Challenge Competitions are to be run separately from non-challenge classes where possible and on a "stand-alone" date. In some disciplines this may not be feasible.

6. The first performance of the day of members to count for the team score. Performing at a lower level than the team declaration is not allowed. Riders may enter other classes (if time allows) but only after the counting team effort.

7. Lead rein riders are excluded.

Owners/riders enter entirely at their own risk and it is a condition of entry that no liability of any kind attaches itself to the organisers, judges or landowner at the event in any respect whatsoever.
