Show Information

COME AND ENJOY THE AMAZING CAMP FACILITIES AT ASTON LE WALLS EITHER EVENTING OR FLAT!

Suitable for all abilities, from beginners and green horses through to competition riders and advanced horses. Please state on your entry the level you are working at in dressage, the maximum height you would like to jump SJ & XC and the height of your horse so that we can group you accordingly.

Lesson Format

Jumping Camp

  • x1 Showjumping lesson focusing on course riding.
  • x1 Grid/ Poles lesson.
  • x1 Flatwork lesson focusing on parts of the dressage test you will be riding on the sunday.
  • x1 Cross Country Lesson on the fabulous Aston all weather arena.

*Please note your sessions will not be in the order stated above*

Flat Work Camp

  • x3 Flatwork lessons ( Some sessions may be used to focus on elements of the test you are riding on the Sunday)
  • x1 Poles work lesson

What is provided in your package

  • Dinner on the Thursday evening
  • Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Friday & Saturday
  • Breakfast & a take away lunch bag on the sunday
  • Shower facilities on site
  • All instruction for the weekend including assited warm up with an instructor for the mock ODE on sunday if you require.

  • Stable & Bedding to be used during your stay (Please bring a water bucket & mucking out tools)
  • Extra service's will be on site for you to attend at your leisure, Spillers weigh Bridge (Free), Theraplate (Money to be paid direct to provider) and a Human Sports Massage Therapist.

 

 General camp schedule (subject to change)

THURSDAY: Arrival from 4pm. Settle your horse in to his/her home for the weekend, and if you wish, you can take the opportunity to check out the excellent local hacking (Please do not ride in the areans on these days we do not have them hired out). Dinner and a meet and greet session in the evening, before settling in to your horsebox or tent for a good night's sleep! (or for the lucky few the accomodation in Washbrook House).

FRIDAY: Morning stables, breakfast and a ridden session in the morning. Followed by a group lunch and another session in the afternoon. Evening stables. A good hearty dinner to replace all the burnt calories and evening non-ridden activities (TBC).

SATURDAY: Morning stables, breakfast and a ridden session in the morning, Lunch and a second session in the afternoon. More delicious food and some evening non-ridden activities (TBC).

SUNDAY: Morning stables, breakfast and start of the mock ODE & Dressage, lunch followed by the final stages of the mock ODE, Muck out and pack away. Departure by 6pm.

 

 

Payment Details & Event Fees

Entries in advance. All entries Online. You can enter using our Secure Online Entry System. Payment is secure and it goes directly to AG&D RC. You will receive an email confirmation of your class entry and payment.

 

Prices:

Members £365

Non-members £385

£120 for members and £130 for no members non-refundable deposit to secure your space, with the remaining balance (members £245 & non-members £265) due 1 month before the camp paid direct to AGDRC via bank transfer.

£130 for 9 meals and entertainment for non member supporters £110 for members.

Stabling Information: Yes

On site are 30 stables with a good shavings bed provided - please bring your own feed, hay and mucking out equipment. Horses must be up to date with their vaccinations. 

 

Refreshments:

We will provide catering throughout the weekend with 3 meals per day and tea, coffee & soft drinks - of course feel free to bring along any extras you'd like (or a cheeky bottle of wine or two!).

*Light snack and drinks are avaliable during the day for campers*

*Do bring along your own snacks for the evening and extra drink if you require for the sunday (taps are available)*

You will need to provide your own sleeping accommodation in horseboxes, trailers or tents - on site is a fully heated clubhouse with a dining area, there are shower facilities, limited hook-ups available (at an additional cost of £30 per night of the camp - to be requested on entry and paid direct to Washbrook Farm on arrival) and a toilet block. **Accomodation can also be provided in lodges at Aston at an extra cost paid directly to Aston, please contact Aston directly to book as the club does not deal with this side of things**

Non-Riding guests are welcome with prior arrangement, but we do need to know about them in advance for Health & Safety reasons.

If they wish to stay and take part in meals and talks then they are very welcome and there is a class you can enter for them.  Catering for extra guests will incur an additional cost.

Please note all Juniors must be accompanied by an adult at all times please enter seperatly for catering as a non-riding attendee on top of your juniors riding camp entry.

Withdrawals/Refunds

If you withdraw after the closing date, monies will be retained by the Club unless the space is filled by another member / non member. This is to ensure that the venue and trainer costs in running this event are met.

Terms & Conditions

 All riders must confirm to BRC Hat standards ( PAS 015:1998 or 2011 or VG01:040: 2014-12) Current BRC Hat tag is aqua (you may have tag from BRC event)

NON MEMBERS need to provide evidence that they have 3rd Party Liability Insurance. Please email a copy of your insurance certificate to the organiser before the event. This can be held on file for future events with the Riding Club.
