Withdrawals/Refunds

A Vet or doctors note will be needed for any refunds on entries.

Terms & Conditions

1. All events will be run in accordance with the current BHS Riding Clubs Rules Book. A copy of the relevant Rules Book will be available at the Show Secretary’s Office on the day of the show. 2. The decisions of the judges are final. 3. Objections must be made in writing within 30 minutes of the incident, accompanied by a deposit of £20, which will be returned if the objection is upheld. 4. Neither the organisers nor the owners of the venue accept liability for any claims in respect of injury or damage to any person, animal or property, how-so-ever caused. 5. The organisers reserve the right to change judges or appoint substitutes and to amend the schedule as necessary. 6. The organisers reserve the right to reject or cancel any entry made by any persons or cancel any class (refunding all fees paid). 7. Entry fees must be paid at time of entry. No entries will be refunded without a Veterinary Surgeon’s or Doctors certificate. 8. DOGS MUST BE KEPT ON LEADS AT ALL TIMES. 9. A riding or skull cap complying with at least PAS 015 or higher must be worn at all times when mounted with chin-strap fastened. 10. Misuse of spurs or whips will incur elimination. Use of bad language by a competitor will result in them being asked to leave the showground. 11. All competitors must act in a safe and responsible manner at all times. 12. In the event of the show being cancelled, entry fees will be returned (less £2 per competitor to cover administration expenses). 13. All horses and ponies ridden in classes must be 4 years of age or over (with the exception of Class XX Youngstock. 14. Please be advised that photography and/or filming will be taking place at our events. If you do not wish to appear in any images captured, please inform the secretary so that we can take appropriate steps to ensure you are not included. The photographs/film could potentially be included in publicity sent to the local press or in WSRC/Area 11 Riding Club promotional materials in the future and may also be published on the WSRC Riding Club website and social media. 15. PLEASE ABIDE BY THE CRANLEIGH SHOW GROUND RULES 1. Ensure you pick up your horse’s droppings from the car park and warm up arenas. 2. No hay to be fed outside lorries. 3. Horses and ponies must not be left alone when tied outside horseboxes or trailers. 4. Please keep gates to the carpark and show arenas closed at all times. Government guidelines must be maintained at all time at any RC activity or event, especially in respect to maintaining a suitable distance from others and regularly hand washing. • Most importantly, anyone displaying COVID-19 symptoms, however mild, should stay at home. Anyone who has been in contact with someone that is showing symptoms should stay at home. Anyone considered vulnerable should stay at home. Anyone attending a clinic or event are reminded to check their own temperature before leaving home. • Please restrict yourself the amount of people that attend the show with you to avoid large crowds of people gathering. Dogs should be kept on a lead at all times. • We will be increasing the turn around times between classes. We kindly ask competitors to arrive and leave promptly to reduce contact with others. • Please ensure you wash your hands regularly or use anti-bacterial hand gel. This is especially important after opening gates etc. We will endeavour to ensure our venues are equipped with hand gel where possible, but we strongly advise that you have your own supply of sanitiser, masks and gloves with you at all times.
