Home made costume and accessories to be home made and not by a professional. Purchased jackets may be used as part of the costume. The criterion for this class is the elegance of the picture presented by horse/pony and rider, and the way of going of the horse/pony. Safe tack must be used. Detailed inspection of the rider’s period costume is not required. Fancy dress is not permitted.

Classes will run concurrently. Due to the cost of hiring this exclusive venue, we do need to use the time effectively. We will do our best to accommodate you but, if you need to change costumes between classes, please ensure you are organized and have a good, supportive ground crew with you!
Appointed Judges may be substituted to ensure the smooth running of the programme and to avoid any conflict of interest. Classes will be judged according to the Guidelines of the Concours d’Elegance Society of GB which can be found at www.eqconcoursgb.com
Competitor numbers will be available to collect from the Show Secretary, however we recommend that competitors wear bridle numbers as not to detract from their costume.
