AFNo Bicton Arena Employees are available during the day of hire and accordingly all those who wish to school their horses/ponies do so entirely at their own risk.
Bicton Arena, its employees, agents servants and all those connected with the equestrian facilities do not accept any liability for any damage, whether occasioned by the negligence or breach of contract or statutory duty for themselves, their servants, agents, employees or those connected with the equestrian facilities or otherwise howsoever.
It is an express condition of every person entering upon the equestrian facilities that he/she agrees, and if he/she is under 18 years of age, his/her parents or accompanying adult also agree, that he/she does so at his/her own risk and voluntarily accepts the risk of injury or damage that is implicit in riding a horse on these premises.
All clients and their guests and customers are required to adhere to commonly accepted standards of decency and good behaviour. Racial abuse, discrimination, swearing and loud or aggressive conduct will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to ask any person on the premises to leave immediately. We reserve the right to refuse admission to any person without giving reason.
It is always mandatory for all riders to wear a protective helmet of British standard EN1384 or PAS015 while mounted on Bicton Arena’s property.
Body protectors of BETA approved level 3 are recommended. Suitable footwear with heels must be worn when mounted.
INSURANCE: all instructors using Bicton Arena’s facilities must have their own insurance cover for providing tuition.
All hirers are advised to check the arena before entering to ensure that it has been left in a safe condition by the previous occupant, this includes distances between poles / combinations / grids etc.
If you (the hirer) or anyone in attendance are showing any symptoms of Covid-19 YOU MUST NOT come to Bicton Arena.
We will provide hand sanitizer in gateways and ask everyone to make use of these before and after touching gate latches, poles, wings etc, please only touch what is necessary.
All take part at their own risk and are expected to exercise due care at all times and obey all notices placed for their control.
Social distancing must be adhered to by all.
Due to circumstances beyond Bicton Arena’s control it may be necessary to change or cancel your booking. Where the change is considered major as decided by Bicton Arena you will be offered the option to accept the change or to receive a full refund of any monies paid against the booking. Bicton Arena will not be responsible for any other costs, expenses or damages which may have been incurred by the client or their guest because of the change.
Monetary refunds or credit will be issued for cancellations due to weather conditions which result in the facility being deemed unfit for use i.e., snow, dense fog, ice or excessive wind speeds and a weather warning being issued by the Met Office.
The hirer may ONLY access the following areas: Arena in which has been hired, the walkway to get there, the lorry park and toilet facilities. Any stable area,hook up area, marquee and workshop are strictly out of bounds.
Strictly no smoking in the arena.
Litter is to be taken home with you or disposed of in bins provided.
No lungeing in the arenas.
Please do not muck out your transportation onto the lorry park, fields or hedge lines.
Children under 16 must be supervised at all times.
Please return any equipment used back to its storage area after use unless already set up prior to hire.
The hirer is responsible for any damage caused to the premises or equipment and must pay the total amount required to make good any such damage.
Please poo pick during/after your hire, ensure hands are sanitized before and after.
Dogs must be kept on leads, always picked up after & under appropriate control.
Please report all accidents or damage to BA staff immediately via email helen.west@clintondevon.com (emergency contact details are pinned up at each arena)
I AGREE TO THE TERMS & CONDITIONS: I have read the conditions and agree to be bound by, and observe them and to absolve Bicton Arena and anyone else connected with the Equestrain Facilities, for any injury or damage that i may suffer on these premises.
