Rule 414. In the event of insufficient entries lower prizes will be withheld. Rule - 76.6. For registered ponies not exceeding 138cms, to be ridden by Junior Members, ages in accordance with Rules 77.12 & 77.13. This competition is open to all but for qualification purposes, those riders up to the end of the calendar year in which the age of 10 is reached are eligible to enter irrespective of Points achieved. Riders aged 10 years and over on 1 January in the calendar year must not have won a total of 350 Points in the 128cms Section and 700 Points in the 138cms section. Ponies 128cm & under are not permitted to enter the 138cm Section.
Pony Riders who have ever obtained points in the Gold League are not eligible for the Stepping Stones Final. Pony/Rider combinations who have ever obtained points in the Silver and/or Gold League are also not eligible for the Stepping Stones Final.
Once Riders have competed at, or have ever qualified for RIHS or HOYS on any height pony they are no longer eligible to compete in the Final. Once a pony has qualified with any rider for RIHS or HOYS in the current year, then it is not eligible to compete in the final.
Qualifies for: Four double clear rounds to qualify for the British Showjumping National Championships. Two double clear rounds will also qualify for the Scope Festival.
Qualifying Period: 1st August - 31st July for Stepping Stones. 1st January-31st July for Debut Handicap Championship.
Numbers to qualify: Those pony/rider combinations who achieve four double clears (subject to revision) will qualify for the Final. Those ponies who achieve two double clears will also qualify for the Debut Handicap Championship Final at the Scope Festival (those qualified to Scope, are asked to email office@southviewarena.com).
No rider may compete more than three ponies in the same section.

• In the 128cms section, Junior riders are eligible to enter, irrespective of points achieved, before the calendar year in which the age of 10 years is reached. Riders who reach the age of 10 years and over in the current calendar year must not have won a total of 500 points. (as of 01.08.2017 pony/rider combination).
• In the 138cms section, Junior riders are eligible to enter, irrespective of points achieved, before the calendar year in which the age of 12 is reached. Riders who reach the age 12 years and over in the current calendar year must not have won a total of 850 points. (as of 01.08.2017 pony/rider combination). Junior Riders are not eligible to enter the 138cms section until the calendar year in which their 8th birthday is reached. Ponies 128cm & under are not permitted to enter the 138cm section.
Once riders have competed at, or have ‘ever’ qualified for RIHS or HOYS on any height pony they are no longer eligible to compete in the Final.
Pony/rider combinations who have accrued points on the Pony Gold League are not eligible to compete in the final of this competition.
Qualifies for: Springboard Final.
Qualifying Period: 1st February -31st January.
Numbers to Qualify: Four double clears to qualify for the Final. Qualification is pony/rider combination. Ponies in the class must go into the jump-off and go clear to gain its double clear round qualification. The winner of a particular Pony Discovery First Round competition will not automatically qualify solely as a result of that competition.

Open to non-registered or British Showjumping Club competitors on horses and ponies. Senior riders should be turning 17 years old or older in the current year. Stallions are not permitted to jump in any Club classes.
Qualifying period: 1st July 20212to 30th June 2023 ,
Numbers to qualify: The Top 20 from each of the four height category league tables, will qualify for the National Club Championships held at the British Showjumping National Championships. Club registered horse(or pony)/rider combinations are eligible to qualify and in more than one height category.
Points
1st = 12, 2nd = 10, 3rd = 8, 4th = 6, 5th = 4, 6th = 3. Double Clear Points = 3.
Points are allocated depending on the number of starters; every one in five registered starters is eligible for points. If you gain a double clear you will receive three points regardless of starters. If a combination competes in more than two consecutive height classes per show day only the points from the bigger classes will be graded.

Tables: In case of teams, this class cannot run as a Two Phase competition (only Table A7 and Single Phase).
Team and individual points are awarded on the following basis: 1st – 12 points, 2nd- 10 points, 3rd – 8 points, 4th – 6 points, 5th – 4 points, 6th – 3 points. 3 points will be allocated to all those who achieve double clear. Payment Details & Event Fees
All entries must be made online and close 48 hours before the show begins. You can book using our Secure Online Entry System. Payment is secure and it goes directly to Harrogate Riding Centre. You will receive an email confirmation of your booking and payment.
First Aid £4 per rider/ per day.
Cancellation policy: All stables are non refundable unless there is a wait list and can be resold by ourselves, alternatively they can be resold by the purchaser (new Occupant details must be forwarded to us). Stables must be left empty on departure and any damage reported.
Entry Cancellation Policy: If 24 hours notice is given, 100% of entry fee can be credited to be used at future Harrogate Riding Centre Events. British Show Jumping events as per BS rules.
Affiliated shows are required to repay 50 % of the entry fees in respect of all entry cancellations which are received by the Show Organiser not later than 48 hours before noon of the day on which the first affiliated competition of the show is scheduled to start except in those circumstances outlined in Rule 79.5.
