Show Information

 Please ensure you have read all of the information regarding new Covid guidelines for staying safe and well during your visit to Bury Farm EC 

The Bury Farm team looks forward to welcoming competitors back to the centre. As the health and safety of all visitors is paramount please ensure that you have read the below information as you will be asked to comply with these guidelines during the course of your visit. Bury Farm reserves the right to ask competitors to leave the centre if any of the below guidelines are breached. 


Entries and Times
Entries for Bury Farm shows must be made online via the event link on the Events Tab of the Bury Farm website, www.buryfarmequestrianvillage.co.uk. . Entries will not be accepted after the closing date unless space allows.

Competitors will be required to provide the following information with their entry:
Name of Horse
Name of Rider
Classes entered
Horsebox Registration number
Horsebox size in tonnes
Payment details - all entries must be paid for online in advance of the show
Competitors will also be asked to agree that they comply with Covid guidelines which have been set up at the centre for the health and wellbeing of all centre visitors.
Once submitted entries may be changed prior to the times being published by contacting dressage@buryfarmestates.co.uk with the entry changes.

Times will be posted on the event link two days prior to the competition. 


Once the times have been published entries may still be amended but only if a horse and/or rider can be substituted into the class and time on the published schedule.
ENTRIES CANNOT BE CHANGED AT THE VENUE ON THE DAY OF COMPETITION.

Refunds and transfers to future shows will not be issued after times have been published. A transfer of entries may be considered if the competitor emails dressage@buryfarmestates.co.uk prior to the show times being published. Bury Farm will issue refunds for entries in line with British Dressage rules. Bury Farm reserves the right to charge an administration fee for any refund or transfer of entries.
 

In line with biosecurity measures please have your passports available for inspection upon arrival at the centre. Horses must have up-to-date vaccinations and the organisers reserve the right to turn horses away from the competition if proof of vaccination records cannot be presented upon arrival. Upon entrance checks competitors will be directed to an allocated parking space. Please note that cars may be parked in a separate part of the show ground to lorries. Sufficient space will be allocated between cars and lorries to maintain correct social distancing measures.


On the day of the competition
A maximum of 10 competitors will be allowed in our outdoor warm up arenas, and 2 in each of the indoor warm up arenas. No member of the public may attend the warm up spaces on foot. A collecting ring steward will call each competitor to the International arena at their allotted time. The competitor must enter the arena via the designated entrance as directed by the collecting ring steward. Competitors must head straight back to their lorries after they have cooled off. They may not access any other arena or farm track after their test has finished.

 

The Bury Farm team can only collect dressage test sheets from a judge in breaks and at the end of a class. Scores will be added up at the venue after a class has concluded. Results will not be printed and competitors will not be able to view results on Bury Farm notice boards. Results will be verified by a judge and will be piblished online via the Bury Farm webiste show link within 24 hours of the show's completion. Dressage sheets and rosettes will be placed on our show recpetion desk at the end of each class, please allow the Secretary time and SPACE to lay these sheets out without overcrowding her.

The show organiser, Anne Dingley will be your Covid Compliance Manager on the day of competition. The show mobile will be available for competitors to contact on the day of competition - 07568 395548.

Social distancing measures must be observed throughout the show. Please use hand sanitiser and wash hands regularly during your visit to the centre. Face masks are encouraged be worn indoors (unless competing.)

Toilets will be available for use in the International show centre. The Paddocks cafe team will provide a service on the day of competition and will be offering food and drink within social distancing parameters.

Competitors may not access the livery facilities during their visit to the centre.

Email, phone and address details may be used by Bury Farm to communicate forthcoming events at the Centre. These details will not be passed on to any third parties. Please inform the dressage secretary, dressage@buryfarmestates.co.uk if you do not wish to receive communication from the Centre

Terms & Conditions

On the day of the competition
Competitors will be invited to warm up in the outdoor sand arena for both flat and jumping warm up. If competitors require a longer warm up time that is available in the sand arena they may use a designated grassed area prior to their class time. A maximum of 5 competitors will be allowed in any warm up space at the centre at any given time. Only Bury Farm personnel may adjust warm up fences in warm up arenas. No member of the public may attend to warm up fences. A collecting ring steward will call each competitor to the Legacy Arena at their allotted time. The competitor must enter the arena via the designated entrance as directed by the collecting ring steward. The competitor must leave the arena Legacy arena via a designated exit. The exit leads to a grass cool down area in which competitors are invited to allow their horses to cool off after their round. Competitors must head straight back to their lorries after they have cooled off. They may not access any other arena or farm track after their class has finished.

Results from each class will be announced by the judge via the arena loudspeaker system after the class has finished. Results will not be printed and competitors will not be able to view results on Bury Farm noticeboards. Results will be published online via the Bury Farm website show link within 24 hours of the show's completion. Results will also be available via the Bury Farm website. Competitors who win prize money will be contacted via email to obtain their bank account details. Upon receipt of competitor bank details Bury Farm will pay prize money within 7 working days.

BIOSECURITY MEASURES

All horses must be travelled with passports which can demonstrate that all vaccinations are up to date (Bury Farm operates a 12-month vaccination policy)

Horses must also show no clinical signs of the following when attending the centre:

  1. recent cough of unknown cause
  2. recent nasal discharge of unknown cause
  3. enlarged lymph nodes
  4. fever (>38.5 degrees)
  5. recent onset of neurological signs of unknown cause
  6. diarrhoea

Horses must also 

  1. not be under current investigation for EHV infection
  2. have not been in contact with and is not kept on the same premises as a horse known to have or be under investigation for EHV
  3. have not travelled out of the country for the past 28 days.

 Horses should NOT be brought to the centre if they are not in good health on the date of travel.
