Cats & Pipes Debut Championship Handicap Qualifier
Eligible Pony/Rider: -Open to registered ponies not exceeding 138cms, to be ridden by Junior Members, ages in
accordance with rule 77.12 & 77.13. This competition is open to all, however for qualification purposes, those riders up
to the end of the calendar year in which the age of 10 is reached are eligible to enter irrespective of Points achieved.
Riders aged 10 years and over on 1st January in the calendar year, must not have won a total of 350 points in the
128cms section and 700 points in the 138cms section.
Rule: - Table A two rounds not against the clock, all equal in round one will go forward to round two over a shortened
course. Once riders have competed at, or “ever” qualified for RIHS or HOYS on any height pony they are no longer eligible to
compete in the Final. Once a Pony has qualified with any rider for RIHS or HOYS in the current year, then it is not
eligible to compete in this competition or the Final.
Numbers to qualify: - 2 double clears/dual qualification for the Stepping Stones Championships

Qualifying period 1st May-30th April inclusive.
Numbers to qualify: Those ponies that jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off,
in at least four Pony British Novice First Round competitions held in the qualifying period will qualify to compete in a
Pony British Novice Second Rounds. Qualification period: May – April yearly (subject to revision).
If combined with an open: In the event of 15 or more starters this class will be split with two sets of prize money.
Ponies may enter one section only.

There will be 11 Second Round competitions. Ponies which have qualified to compete by jumping double clear rounds
in at least three Pony British Novice First Round Competitions in accordance with Rule 410.6 are eligible to enter and
compete in as many Second Rounds as the owner wishes.
Qualifies for: Pony British Novice Championship Final at the British Showjumping National Championships.
Numbers to qualify: Top 10 ponies, disregarding those already qualified, plus those ponies that jump one treble clear in
any of the Pony British Novice Second Rounds.

four Blue Chip Pony Newcomers First Round competitions held in any qualifying period will qualify to compete in a
Pony Newcomers Second Round.
• The Open Section is for registered ponies in Grade JA, JC, JD to be ridden by Junior Members. Junior Members, in
either the Open or the Newcomers Section who have not won a total of 500 Points are eligible for double clear
qualification for the Pony Restricted Rider 1.00m Championship. Riders who have accrued points on the Pony Gold
League are not eligible to compete in the Restricted Rider 1.00m Final.
Qualifies for: Four double clears will qualify for the Pony Restricted Rider 1.00m Championship to be held at the British
Showjumping National Championships. Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April. Qualification is ony/rider Combination.

either the Open or the Foxhunter Section, who have not won more than a total of 350 Points in the previous calendar
year are eligible for double clear qualification for the Pony Restricted Rider 1.10m Championship. Riders who have
accrued points on the Pony Gold League are not eligible to compete in the Restricted Rider 1.10m Final.
Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April inclusive. Qualifies for: Four double clears will qualify for the Pony Restricted

Payment is secure and it goes directly to Cherwell Competition Centre.
You will receive an email confirmation of your booking and payment. First Aid will be charged at £5 per rider per day.
Affiliated shows are required to repay 50 % of the entry fees in respect of all entry cancellations which are received
by the Show Organiser not later than 48 hours before noon of the day on which the first affiliated competition of the
show is scheduled to start excep
1. The Show Organiser referred to in these Rules and Regulations shall hereinafter mean Cherwell Competition Centre. The Cherwell Competition Centre Shows will hereinafter be referred to as the Show. 2. The Show, Show Organiser, Volunteers and Officials do not accept liability for any accident, damage, injury, theft or illness to horses, riders, owners, spectators or any other person or property whatsoever. 3. The Show Organiser retains as its absolute discretion the right to decline or exclude or remove any person or animal from the show or future shows or return any entry fee without being required to assign reason or being liable for any compensation. 4. Competitions – The Show Organiser reserves the right to cancel, add to, or amend any of the competitions, as they think fit, with the approval of the British Show jumping. Prizes may be withheld under rule 76.6. 5. Smoking – Smoking is not permitted within any of the showground buildings or stables. Please do not throw cigarette ends on the floor. For litter please use the bins provided. 6. Collecting Ring – All warming up must be done in the designated Collecting Rings provided. Persons found abusing horses on the showground may be asked to leave. 7. Refund of Entry – Refunds will only be in accordance with British Show jumping Rule 79.5.1. 8. Vehicles – The Show Organiser reserves the right to remove any vehicle which is obstructing any access to or from the ground even if locked and unattended. The Show Organiser will not be liable for any injury, loss or damage occasioned by such removal. 9. Dogs – Dogs are permitted on the show ground, but they must be kept on a lead at all times. If, in the opinion of the Show organiser, any person fails to control their dog/s they may be asked to leave the Showground. 10. Prize Giving – The Show organiser reserves the right to withhold prizes if competitors do not attend the Official Prize Giving. 11. Objections – Objection should be made in writing in accordance to British Show Jumping. Rule 198. Two Show Stewards will be appointed to the Show in accordance to Rule 96.2 12. Official Photographs – Any photographs taken by the Official Photographer may be used by the show organiser for promotional purposes. 13. First Aid – A total of £5 per day per competitor will be charged towards medical cover during the hours of competition. 14. Vaccination Certificate – All horses at the show must have a current and valid certificate of vaccination against Equine Influenza. There will be random checking of certificates and any horse found without a valid certificate will be asked to leave the show ground. 15. Stallions – No person shall allow a stallion for which he/she is responsible as owner, lessee, authorised agent or rider to compete or be prepared to compete, in any class without taking adequate precautions to ensure other persons are not put at risk of injury. 16. Close of Entries –Entries will close at the start of each class. Should space be available late entries may be accepted with an additional fee of £5 being charged per entry. 17. Entry Fees – All accounts must be settled before competitor or owner leaves the show ground. If account is not settled by the end of the event an additional admin charge of £10 will be added to the account. 18. ANY PERSON (S) & THEIR ASSOCIATES FOUND MISBEHAVING OR CAUSING DAMAGE WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE VENUE IMMEDIATELY
