As the health and safety of all visitors is paramount please ensure that you have read the below information as you will be asked to comply with these guidelines during the course of your visit. Bury Farm reserves the right to ask competitors to leave the centre if any of the below guidelines are breached.

In line with biosecurity measures please have your passports available for inspection upon arrival at the centre. Horses must have up-to-date vaccinations and the organisers reserve the right to turn horses away from the competition if proof of vaccination records cannot be presented upon arrival.

Please note: although these classes are unaffiliated they will be run under British Dressage and British Show Jumping rules, with the exception that 1st refusal = 4 faults, 2nd refusal = 8 faults, 3rd refusal = elimination.

Dressage 

SECTION INFO: 
Class 7 & 8: INTRO CLASSES
Restricted to non-BD & BE members (excluding BD associate members) who have not been placed 1st or 2nd in a prelim class at Bury Farm (horse and rider combination.) Can be ridden in any preferred tack. BD/BE members may enter the classes in the Open section 

Class 9,10,11,12,13,14,: PRELIM & NOVICE CLASSES
Restricted Prelim - Restricted to non-BD/BE riders (excluding BD associate members) who have not won 3 tests at prelim or above at Bury Farm (horse and rider combination.) Horse must not currently be registered with BD, BS or BE 
Restricted Novice - Restricted to non-BD/BE riders (excluding BD associate members) who have not won 3 tests at novice or above at Bury Farm (horse and rider combination.) Horse must not currently be registered with BD, BS or BE  
Open Prelim and Novice - Open to all horses and riders who wish to compete at the Centre regardless of membership or association to equine organisations, or of horse and rider points achieved in any ridden discipline
***Horse and Rider Combinations that have previously won a BFEC Unaffiliated Dressage Championship class can still compete at the same level but they must compete in the Open section***

Classes 15,16 &17 : no sections 
Class 17: All tests are to be long arena 60x20m current BD, BE or PC tests

Class 17: please state level when entering the freestyle music class. 

Payment Details & Event Fees

Entries for Bury Farm shows must be made online via the event link on the Events Tab of the Bury Farm website, www.buryfarmequestrianvillage.co.uk. 
Entries will not be accepted after the closing date unless space allows. 
Once submitted entries may be changed prior to the times being published by contacting ashlie@buryfarmestates.co.uk with entry changes. 
Once the times have been published entries may still be amended but only if a horse and/or rider can be substituted into the class and time on the published schedule. 
ENTRIES CANNOT BE CHANGED AT THE VENUE ON THE DAY OF COMPETITION. 

First Aid fee £2.50 per rider for both show jumping and dressage competitors.

Prize Information

**** PRIZES FOR 2020-21 SEASON ****

Show Jumping

The winner of each horse and pony section in today's showjumping classes receives a £10 voucher which can be redeemed against future entries, purchases in our Paddocks cafe and our Complete Rider equine store.
2nd and 3rd placed riders in each horse and pony section in today's classes receive a £5 voucher.

Dressage

£15 Bury Farm voucher for 1st place which can be redeemed against entries, in the cafe or in our Complete Rider Equine store

£10 Bury Farm voucher for 2nd place which can be redeemed against entries, in the cafe or in our Complete Rider Equine store

£5 voucher for 3rd place which can be redeemed against entries, in the cafe or in our Complete Rider Equine store.

 

Vouchers are awarded for OVERALL placings within a dressage class and are offered within the spirit of BD rules regarding prizes:

5-8 entries - 1st prize awarded

9-12 entries - 1st and 2nd prize awarded

13 entries or more - 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize awarded.


TO COMPLY WITH SOCIAL DISTANCING MEASURES THESE VOUCHERS WILL NOT BE GIVEN OUT ON THE DAY SO THEY WILL BE EMAILED TO COMPETITORS AFTER THE SHOW.

Refreshments:

The Paddocks cafe team will provide a service on the day of competition and will be offering hot and cold food, drink and snacks within current social distancing parameters. Face masks are encouraged to be worn when ordering and collecting food.

Withdrawals/Refunds

Refunds will be offered to competitors in line with British Dressage and British Showjumping rules.  A transfer of entries may be considered if the competitor emails enquiries@buryfarmestates.co.uk prior to the show times being published.  Bury Farm reserves the right to charge an administration fee for any refund or transfer of entries.

Terms & Conditions

On the day of the competition

A maximum of 10 competitors will be allowed in the outdoor warm up arena (this is available for both Dressage and Showjumping use), 5 in the jumping warm up arena and 2 in each of our indoor warm up arenas (priority use of the indoor arenas will be given to Dressage riders) at any given time. No member of the public may attend the warm up spaces on foot. A collecting ring steward will call each competitor to the Competition Arena at their allotted time. The competitor must enter and leave the arena via the designated entrance and exit as directed by the collecting ring steward. Only Bury Farm personnel may adjust warm up fences in warm up arenas.


Results will not be printed and competitors will not be able to view results on Bury Farm noticeboards. Results will be published online via the Bury Farm website show link within 24 hours of the show's completion. Rosettes can be collected from the Reception desk for Dressage and from the collecting ring steward for Showjumping. Dressage sheets will be placed on our show reception desk at the end of each class, please allow the Secretary time and space to lay these sheets out without overcrowding her.

The show organiser, Tracey Hopkins will be your Covid Compliance Manager on the day of competition. The show mobile will be available for competitors to contact on the day of competition - 07568 395548. 

Social distancing measures must be observed throughout the show. Please use hand sanitiser and wash hands regularly during your visit to the centre. Masks are encouraged to be worn indoors.

Toilets will be available for use in the International show centre.

Competitors may not access the livery facilities during their visit to the centre. 

By entering this Show, competitors and helpers agree to comply with all Covid guidelines which have been set up at the centre for the health and well-being of all centre visitors. 

BIOSECURITY MEASURES

All horses must be travelled with passports which can demonstrate that all vaccinations are up to date (Bury Farm operates a 12-month vaccination policy)

Horses must also show no clinical signs of the following when attending the centre:

  1. recent cough of unknown cause
  2. recent nasal discharge of unknown cause
  3. enlarged lymph nodes
  4. fever (>38.5 degrees)
  5. recent onset of neurological signs of unknown cause
  6. diarrhoea

Horses must also 

  1. not be under current investigation for EHV infection
  2. have not been in contact with and is not kept on the same premises as a horse known to have or be under investigation for EHV
  3. have not travelled out of the country for the past 28 days.

 

Horses should NOT be brought to the centre if they are not in good health on the date of travel.

 

1. The decision of the judges & stewards in all cases is final. They reserve the right to alter, amend or cancel any part of the competition or to refuse any entry without stating a reason. 2. The organiser of this event has taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health, safety and welfare of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring, and must obey instructions of the organisers, officials and stewards. 3. The organisers will not be held responsible and accept no liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, rider, spectators, vehicles or their contents and accessories, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. It is a condition of entry that each entrant shall agree to indemnify against any legal action arising from such incident. 4. All competitors must be suitably dressed in correct riding attire to current British safety standards. Riding/jodhpur boots must be worn for all classes. 5. Horses & ponies tied to lorry or trailers must not be left unattended. 6. Please ensure the area around your horsebox / trailer is clean and tidy. Droppings collected and not swept onto or left on BFEC. Please take litter home or use the bins provided. 7. Children must be supervised at all times 8. Whilst outside arenas, horses and ponies should be moved at a walk only. 9. There is a vet on call. The expense of any veterinary services rendered either on or after the show must be borne by the competitor or owner of the horse/pony. 10. No dogs allowed, other than in the lorry park only and must be on a lead at all times.
