Test Riding Clinic with British Dressage Affiliated Judge Format: 

  1. Choose which Tests you want to enter. 
  2. After warming up in the outdoor arena, you will ride your chosen test from the list provided in the schedule above, which will be judged and marked in the usual way. 
  3. Judge will then discuss your test sheet with you, providing 10 minutes of tips and tuition on how to improve specific movements, way of going, and the overall score. 
  4. Finally, you will have the opportunity to ride the test again and receive a second score sheet. 
  5. The indoor arena will be set up with dressage boards and the judge’s car a C - exactly as it would be on a real competition day. You are also free to use the outdoor arena before and after your session, for warm up and cool down. 
  6. Dress - Smart but casual with approved hat as per conditions of entry. 

Rehearsal Session Format:

An opportunity to have sole use of our indoor school for 30 minutes to run through your Dressage Tests.  The school will be set up using long arena layout, and we are on standby to assist you if you need it, ie, Reading tests or playing music.  You will be able to warm up in our outside school until your booked time, so you are ready to go from the start of your session.

Please, no skipping lorries out in parking area, pick up all horse droppings/hay before leaving and NO DOGS ALLOWED AT ALL.

Withdrawals/Refunds

Once a competitors entry has been accepted it will be assumed that he/she intends to take part unless he/she notifies the promoters to the contrary giving 10 days’ notice ahead of the scheduled clinic.  A full refund (less the booking fee) will be issued or a transfer to future clinic can be made, but transfers can only be done once before the booking has to be used or lost.  No entry fee will be refunded on withdrawal after the closing date, unless a veterinary or medical certificate is produced not later than 4 days after the event (less the booking fee).

 

Terms & Conditions
  1. Bookings for training clinics are non-refundable, however a transfer to a future date can be arranged given 10 days’ notice ahead of the scheduled clinic. If less than 10 days’ notice is provided, we cannot transfer your entry due to costs associated with booking trainers.  Transfers to future clinics can only be made once before the booking has to be used or lost.
  2. Timeslot requests - all requests will be given equal consideration with us accommodating them as best we can, but there is no guarantee that you will get the timeslot requested.
  3. The promoters reserve the right to cancel, split or re-arrange any class, and/or the event at their discretion.  Entry fees (not including the booking fee) may be refunded less an admin fee totalling the Paypal fee charged for the booking (PayPal Fee is 2.9% of total paid, plus 30p per transaction).
  4. Correct riding attire must be worn by all Riders.  In particular, everyone mounted, whether a competitor or not, must wear an approved riding hat as per British Dressage Rules: www.britishdressage.co.uk/rules.  Failure to do so will incur elimination.
  5. No claim can be entertained for anything that may happen to competitors, their property, servants, or horses in connection with, or arising out of this event.  It shall be deemed a condition of entry that each entrant shall agree to indemnify the promoters against any legal action arising from such an incident.
  6. The promoters reserve the right to refuse any entry without giving any reason whatsoever.
  7. Horses and ponies must be 4 years old or over.
  8. Lunging is not permitted in any of the arenas at any time. 
  9. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
  10. The promoters reserve the right to ask any competitor or visitor in breach of these terms and conditions, to leave the grounds immediately. 
  11. The promoters reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions should the need arise. 
  12. Smoking is not permitted whilst mounted, or in either the outdoor or indoor arenas. 
  13. The promoters will be taking photographs and videos during our events and these may be posted on our website and Facebook page and used for marketing purposes.
