As the health and safety of all visitors is paramount please ensure that you have read the below information as you will be asked to comply with these guidelines during the course of your visit. Bury Farm reserves the right to ask competitors to leave the centre if any of the below guidelines are breached.

In line with biosecurity measures please have your passports available for inspection upon arrival at the centre. Horses must have up-to-date vaccinations and the organisers reserve the right to turn horses away from the competition if proof of vaccination records cannot be presented upon arrival.

Please note: although these classes are unaffiliated they will be run under British Show Jumping rules, with the exception that 1st refusal = 4 faults, 2nd refusal = 8 faults, 3rd refusal = elimination.

Horse and Pony sections for each class

*** Combined Training Classes *** These count as direct qualifiers for the Trailblazers Championships at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire in July 2021.

To enter the Combined Training element of this show you need to enter the relevant showjumping and dressage classes on the show schedule.

The combination of classes is as follows:

PONY SECTION 70cm SJ class 2, PRELIM dressage class

PONY SECTION 80cm SJ class 3, NOVICE dressage class

HORSE SECTION 70cm SJ class 2, PRELIM dressage class

HORSE SECTION, 80cm SJ class 3, NOVICE dressage class

HORSE SECTION, 85cm SJ class 4, ELEMENTARY dressage class

You may only enter a dressage class if you have entered a showjumping class.

You will be provided with times for your dressage and for your showjumping. You must complete your dressage test before you jump. The times will ensure that you jump after the dressage test.

Course walks are available at the start of each class.

Final scores:

The dressage % is calculated as per normal dressage tests

If show jumping penalties are incurred they are taken off the dressage total so that the final % is re-calculated.

One fence down = 4 faults, two = 8 faults, three = elimination.

Rider fall or dismount results in elimination.

Riders eliminated from the dressage phase may complete the show jumping phase H/C for the combined training element, but will still be competitive for the unaffiliated show jumping competition

The same horse and rider combination must complete both phases of the combined training competition.

Time penalties are incurred in the show jumping round if ridden outside of the specified time.

Rosettes will be awarded, and direct qualification for the Trailblazers Championships is based on finishing in the Top 5 in any combined training class/section.

Qualification Cards can be purchased from Bury Farm by emailing enquiries@buryfarmestates.co.uk. Cards will be posted to competitors. The card costs £12 + £ 1postage.
