Final - in accordance with Rule 312.6.
Qualifies for: Lord & Lady Equestrian Senior Newcomers Second Round.
Qualifying period: The Senior NewcomersSecond Round qualifying period for 2019/2020 (2020 second rounds and
finals) is 1 June - 31 May inclusive. The Senior Newcomers Second Round qualifying period for 2020/2021 (2021 second
rounds and finals) is 1 May – 30 April (subject to revision).
Numbers to qualify: Those horses which jump a clear round in the First Round, followed by a clear round in the jumpoff, in at least four Senior Newcomers First Round competitions in any qualifying period, will qualify to compete in a
Connolly’s RED MILLS Senior Newcomers Second Round, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those
competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). To obtain a double clear qualification,
even if the horse is the only clear round, it must jump a jump-off round and jump clear to gain a double clear round. The
winner of a particular Connolly’s RED MILLS Senior Newcomers First Round competition will not automatically qualify
solely as a result of that competition.
If combined with an open: In the event of 30 or more starters the class will be split with two sets of prize money.
All horse/rider combinations eligible for the 1.10m National Amateur First Round will receive dual qualification of
double clears, in either section of a Newcomer - first round/1.10m open competition. Held at Senior Category 1 shows only.

Entries shut the day before the show at 9am and times will be released the day before the show by 5pm.
As the health and safety of all visitors is paramount please ensure that you have read the below information as you will be asked to comply with these guidelines during the course of your visit. Bury Farm reserves the right to ask competitors to leave the centre if any of the below guidelines are breached.
In line with biosecurity measures please have your passports available for inspection upon arrival at the centre. Horses must have up-to-date vaccinations and the organisers reserve the right to turn horses away from the competition if proof of vaccination records cannot be presented upon arrival. All competitors must email showjumping@buryfarmestates.co.uk stating that they agree to comply with our Covid protocols and Biosecurity measures at least 24 hours prior to visiting the centre. Failure to reply to this email prior to arrival at the centre will result in the forfeit of class entries or course hire and horse(s) will not be permitted to enter the showground.
Payment Details & Event Fees
Entries for Bury Farm shows must be made online via the event link on the Events Tab of the Bury Farm website, www.buryfarmequestrianvillage.co.uk.
Entries will not be accepted after the closing date unless space allows.
Once submitted entries may be changed prior to the times being published by contacting ashlie@buryfarmestates.co.uk with entry changes.
Once the times have been published entries may still be amended but only if a horse and/or rider can be substituted into the class and time on the published schedule.
ENTRIES CANNOT BE CHANGED AT THE VENUE ON THE DAY OF COMPETITION.
First Aid fee £5.00 per rider
Stabling Information: Yes
Stabling can be booked online. It is essential that competitors observe social distancing etiquette in the stabling areas during the show. Please ensure you bring adequate hand sanitiser to use after opening and closing stable doors, handling horse equipment and tack. For hygiene reasons competitors must bring their own tools to the show.
Stables are available from 12pm on the date of booking and may be vacated at the end of the show. Arrival and departure times may be flexed upon request depending upon stable availability. STRICTLY No arrivals after 7pm. Please call 07568 395548 in the event of emergency. Hook Up may also be booked online
Stables should be left in the condition in which they are found, i.e. clear of droppings and dry.
Hay can be purchased on site during the show. Shavings can be purchased on site for £9 per bale. Shavings must be used in our permanent indoor stables. Competitors are welcome to bring their own shavings.
Competitors who win prize money will be contacted via email to obtain their bank account details. Upon receipt of competitor bank details Bury Farm will pay prize money within 7 working days.
The Paddocks Cafe will provide a service of food, snacks and drinks in line with current Government Covid guidelines. Face masks MUST be worn when ordering from the Paddocks Cafe team.
Refunds and transfers to future shows will not be issued after times have been published. A transfer of entries may be considered if the competitor emails ashlie@buryfarmestates.co.uk prior to the show times being published. Bury Farm will issue refunds for entries in line with British Showjumping rules. Bury Farm reserves the right to charge an administration fee for any refund or transfer of entries.
All Bury Farm show jumping shows are run under British Showjumping rules.
A 50% refund will be offered to those who withdraw from a competition more than 48 hours prior to the start of the event.
A 50% refund less an administration fee may be offered to competitors who withdraw from a competition less than 48 hours prior to the start of the event . This refund will be offered at the discretion of the organiser.
The above rules also apply to stabling.
On the day of the competition
Competitors will be met by a member of the team at the entrance to the lorry park. Competitors will need to provide identification upon arrival at the centre. NO PERSON MAY ENTER THE SHOW GROUND IF THEIR DETAILS HAVE NOT BEEN PROVIDED ON THE ONLINE ENTRY FORM. In line with biosecurity measures please have your passports available for inspection upon arrival at the centre. Horses must have up-to-date vaccinations and the organisers reserve the right to turn horses away from the competition if proof of vaccination records cannot be presented upon arrival. Upon entrance checks competitors will be directed to an allocated parking space. Please note that cars may be parked in a separate part of the show ground to lorries. Sufficient space will be allocated between cars and lorries to maintain correct social distancing measures.
Competitors will be invited to warm up in the outdoor sand arena for both flat and jumping warm up. If competitors require a longer warm up time that is available in the sand arena they may use a designated grassed area prior to their class time. A maximum of 5 competitors will be allowed in any warm up space at the centre at any given time. Only Bury Farm personnel may adjust warm up fences in warm up arenas. No member of the public may attend to warm up fences. A collecting ring steward will call each competitor to the Legacy Arena at their allotted time. The competitor must enter the arena via the designated entrance as directed by the collecting ring steward. The competitor must leave the arena Legacy arena via a designated exit. The exit leads to a grass cool down area in which competitors are invited to allow their horses to cool off after their round. Competitors must head straight back to their lorries after they have cooled off. They may not access any other arena or farm track after their class has finished.
Results from each class will be announced by the judge via the arena loudspeaker system after the class has finished. Results will not be printed and competitors will not be able to view results on Bury Farm noticeboards. Results will be published online via the Bury Farm website show link within 24 hours of the show's completion. Results will also be available via the BS website. Competitors who win prize money will be contacted via email to obtain their bank account details. Upon receipt of competitor bank details Bury Farm will pay prize money within 7 working days. Rosettes can be posted upon receipt of an SAE. Competitors should state the date of the competition and their class details on the envelope.
The show organiser, Tracey Hopkins will be your Covid Compliance Manager on the day of competition. The show mobile will be available for competitors to contact on the day of competition - 07568 395548.
Social distancing measures must be observed throughout the show. Please use hand sanitiser and wash hands regularly during your visit to the centre. Face masks should be worn indoors (unless competing.)
Toilets will be available for use in the International show centre.
The Paddocks cafe team will provide a service on the day of competition and will be serving take away food and drink within social distancing parameters.
By entering this Show, competitors and helpers agree to comply with all Covid guidelines which have been set up at the centre for the health and well-being BIOSECURITY MEASURES All horses must be travelled with passports which can demonstrate that all vaccinations are up to date (Bury Farm operates a 12-month vaccination policy) Horses must also show no clinical signs of the following when attending the centre: - recent cough of unknown cause
- recent nasal discharge of unknown cause
- enlarged lymph nodes
- fever (>38.5 degrees)
- recent onset of neurological signs of unknown cause
- diarrhoea
Horses must also - not be under current investigation for EHV infection
- have not been in contact with and is not kept on the same premises as a horse known to have or be under investigation for EHV
- have not travelled out of the country for the past 28 days.
Horses should NOT be brought to the centre if they are not in good health on the date of travel.
