Horse and Rider combinations scoring 60% and above in any of our classes qualify for the 2021 Unaffiliated Dressage Championships which will be held at the centre in the Autumn.

This is an Unaffiliated Dressage show. Classes are open to all.

Trailblazers Second Rounds are part of classes 2 (Juniors), 4, 7 & 9.

Please provide your Trailblazers Membership number in the class notes when you enter and state if you are a Junior or a Senior rider.

Two bridle or saddle pad numbers required as per BD rules

CLASS RESTRICTIONS: 
Class 1 & 2: INTRO CLASSES
Restricted to non-BD & BE members (excluding BD associate members) who have not been placed 1st or 2nd in a prelim class at Bury Farm (horse and rider combination.) Can be ridden in any preferred tack. BD/BE members may enter the classes in the Open section 

Class 3,4,5,6,7,8,: PRELIM & NOVICE CLASSES
Restricted Prelim - Restricted to non-BD/BE riders (excluding BD associate members) who have not won 3 tests at prelim or above at Bury Farm (horse and rider combination.) Horse must not currently be registered with BD, BS or BE 
Restricted Novice - Restricted to non-BD/BE riders (excluding BD associate members) who have not won 3 tests at novice or above at Bury Farm (horse and rider combination.) Horse must not currently be registered with BD, BS or BE  
Open Prelim and Novice - Open to all horses and riders who wish to compete at the Centre regardless of membership or association to equine organisations, or of horse and rider points achieved in any ridden discipline
***Horse and Rider Combinations that have previously won a BFEC Unaffiliated Dressage Championship class can still compete at the same level but they must compete in the Open section***

Classes 9 ,10 &11 : Open to all 
Class 10: All tests are to be long arena 60x20m current BD, BE, PC or BRC tests

Class 11: please state level when entering the freestyle music class.

 £15 Bury Farm voucher for 1st place which can be redeemed against entries, in the cafe or in our Complete Rider Equine store

£10 Bury Farm voucher for 2nd place which can be redeemed against entries, in the cafe or in our Complete Rider Equine store

£5 voucher for 3rd place which can be redeemed against entries, in the cafe or in our Complete Rider Equine store.

 

Vouchers are awarded for OVERALL placings within a class and are offered within the spirit of BD rules regarding prizes:

5-8 entries - 1st prize awarded

9-12 entries - 1st and 2nd prize awarded

13 entries or more - 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize awarded.

Trailblazers Second Round Qualifier.

This show incorporates Trailblazers Second Round Qualifiers.

To enter the second round you will need to have purchased a second round qualification card which you will need to scan and email to dressage@buryfarmestates.co.uk prior to the show. 

Please also state your membership number in the class notes when you submit your online entry.

The Paddocks Cafe will provide a service of food, snacks and drinks in line with current Government Covid guidelines. Face masks MUST be worn when ordering from the Paddocks Cafe team.

Withdrawals/Refunds

Please email withdrawals to dressage@buryfarmestates.co.uk or text 07568 395548 on the day of the show. 
Bury Farm will issue refunds for entries in line with British Dressage rules. Refunds to future shows will not be issued after close of entries. A transfer to a future show will be offered if a withdrawal is made in writing to the above email address before times have been published. Bury Farm reserves the right to charge an administration fee for any refund or transfer of entries.

Please ensure you have read all of the information regarding new Covid guidelines for staying safe and well during your visit to Bury Farm EC 

The Bury Farm team looks forward to welcoming competitors back to the centre. As the health and safety of all visitors is paramount please ensure that you have read the below information as you will be asked to comply with these guidelines during the course of your visit. Bury Farm reserves the right to ask competitors to leave the centre if any of the below guidelines are breached. 

Entries and Times
Entries for Bury Farm shows must be made online via the event link on the Events Tab of the Bury Farm website, www.buryfarmequestrianvillage.co.uk. . Entries will not be accepted after the closing date unless space allows. 

Competitors will be required to provide the following information with their entry: 
Name of Horse 
Name of Rider 
Classes entered 
Name of up to 5 additional person(s) attending the centre on the day of the competition 
Horsebox Registration number 
Horsebox size in tonnes 
Payment details - all entries must be paid for online in advance of the show 
Competitors will also be asked to agree that they comply with Covid guidelines which have been set up at the centre for the health and wellbeing of all centre visitors. 
Once submitted entries may be changed prior to the times being published by contacting dressage@buryfarmestates.co.uk with the entry changes. 

Times will be posted on the event link two days prior to the competition. Please note that under British Dressage Covid guidance the test time has been increased up to 10 minutes per test to allow time for judges to compile comments on rider test sheets. 

Once the times have been published entries may still be amended but only if a horse and/or rider can be substituted into the class and time on the published schedule.
ENTRIES CANNOT BE CHANGED AT THE VENUE ON THE DAY OF COMPETITION. 

Bury Farm will issue refunds for entries in line with British Dressage rules.Refunds will not be offered after close of entries. and transfers to future shows will not be issued after times have been published. A transfer of entries may be considered if the competitor emails dressage@buryfarmestates.co.uk prior to the show times being published. Bury Farm reserves the right to charge an administration fee for any refund or transfer of entries. 

On the day of the competition
Competitors will be met by a member of the team at the entrance to the lorry park. NO PERSON MAY ENTER THE SHOW GROUND IF THEIR DETAILS HAVE NOT BEEN PROVIDED ON THE ONLINE ENTRY FORM.  In line with biosecurity measures please have your passports available for inspection upon arrival at the centre. Horses must have up-to-date vaccinations and the organisers reserve the right to turn horses away from the competition if proof of vaccination records cannot be presented upon arrival.

Upon entrance checks competitors will be directed to an allocated parking space. Please note that cars may be parked in a separate part of the show ground to lorries. Sufficient space will be allocated between cars and lorries to maintain correct social distancing measures.


A maximum of 10 competitors will be allowed in our outdoor warm up arenas, and 2 in each of the indoor warm up arenas. No member of the public may attend the warm up spaces on foot. A collecting ring steward will call each competitor to the International arena at their allotted time.  The competitor must enter the arena via the designated entrance as directed by the collecting ring steward. Competitors must head straight back to their lorries after they have cooled off. They may not access any other arena or farm track after their test has finished. 

The Bury Farm team can only collect dressage test sheets from a judge in breaks and at the end of a class. Scores will be added up at the venue after a class has concluded..Results will not be printed and competitors will not be able to view results on Bury Farm noticeboards, neither will competitors be able to collect sheets from the venue on the day of the competition. Results will be verified by a judge and they will be published online via the Bury Farm website show link within 24 hours of the show's completion. Test sheets will be scanned and sent to competitors via the email address on their My Riding Life Account within 48 hours of the show's completion. Rosettes will be sent to competitors after the competition date upon receipt of an SAE. Competitors should state the date of the competition and their class details on the envelope.

The show organiser, Anne Dingley will be your Covid Compliance Manager on the day of competition. The show mobile will be available for competitors to contact on the day of competition - 07568 395548. 

Social distancing measures must be observed throughout the show. Please use hand sanitiser and wash hands regularly during your visit to the centre. Face masks should be worn indoors (unless competing.) 

Toilets will be available for use in the International show centre. The Paddocks cafe team will provide a service on the day of competition and will be offering take away food and drink within social distancing parameters.

Competitors may not access the livery facilities during their visit to the centre.

BIOSECURITY MEASURES

All horses must be travelled with passports which can demonstrate that all vaccinations are up to date (Bury Farm operates a 12-month vaccination policy)

Horses must also show no clinical signs of the following when attending the centre:

  1. recent cough of unknown cause
  2. recent nasal discharge of unknown cause
  3. enlarged lymph nodes
  4. fever (>38.5 degrees)
  5. recent onset of neurological signs of unknown cause
  6. diarrhoea

Horses must also 

  1. not be under current investigation for EHV infection
  2. have not been in contact with and is not kept on the same premises as a horse known to have or be under investigation for EHV
  3. have not travelled out of the country for the past 28 days.

Horses should NOT be brought to the centre if they are not in good health on the date of travel.
