Show Information
Bookham RC have now taken steps to prepare the Bookham RC field for private hire by our members. We have dressage arenas set out with a supply of poles and a course of show jumps and rustic fences. Under BRC rules, THE CLUB (we) are unable to organise training at this time.
As a follow-on from the government’s revised policy on exercise, this advice permits venues that provide outdoor sports and physical activities to reopen in England. In light of guidance from the BEF on Friday 15th May, and from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) guidance on Wednesday 13 May regarding outdoor facilities we are now able to move around more freely with our horses with restrictions in place.

Payment Details & Event Fees
You can enter using our Secure Online Entry System. Payment is secure and it goes directly to BRC.
You will receive an email confirmation of your class entry and payment.

Field hire is £8.50 per person (Max 4 in a household)

Terms & Conditions
We will open up the Bookham RC field for members hire only ON A TRIAL BASIS based on the following requirements in line with the government, BEF, BRC and DCMS guidance. We realise this will not suit all members, particularly limiting those who do not have their own transport, but we do need to keep within the guidance. This is summarised below:
• Any activity should fully align with government guidance regarding public health, social distancing and hygiene and all attendees can maintain the social distancing standard of two metres
• Anyone involved who is symptomatic or suspects they have been exposed to the virus does not take part and remains at home.
• Participants should be individuals, members of the same household, or two from different households with social distancing at all times. Any coaching activity must be on a one-to-one basis. In practice this means that members of a household can use the field together OR two members from different households can meet at the field with social distancing in place, but cannot bring anyone else along. An individual can meet with a coach at the field on a one-to-one basis, unless under-18 where a parent must be present (and social distance).
• Horses can be transported to venues freely, but anyone involved in helping with the travelling must be from the same household only. This also applies when travelling by car/trailer.
• Only where participants are under-18, a parent or guardian may be present for one to one training sessions for safeguarding purposes, but must adhere to social distancing and hygiene requirements.
• Car/lorry parking should be conducted to allow adequate social distancing
• Booking and payment should be done online or over the phone to reduce contact so we will be using myridinglife for members to book and pay for field hire online only. Slots will be in 2-hour blocks and should be made BY ONE PERSON who will be reponsible for the unlocking and locking of the field. Each slot starts when you arrive at the gate to the field and finishes when you exit the field. Initially we will have dressage arenas set up and poles available and the charge will be £5.00 per person. Currently the XC fences are out of action but we will aim to have this up and running shortly. You may still make use of the full perimeter of the field and are not restricted to the arenas set up.
• We will ask you to name those people attending the field hire with you at time of booking, including coaches.
• There will be no toilet or water provision at the field, please bring your own water.
• You are welcome to bring your instructor to the field (please advise when booking), but ensure you arrive before your instructor so you can let them in and leave after them so you can lock up.
• If we find that rules are not being adhered then we reserve the right to cease hire and restirct access to individuals.
