Rule 316. DRAWN ORDER Horses (or ponies in pony competitions) may compete in one section only. In the event of insufficient entries lower prizes will be withheld. Rule - 76.6 Entry qualifications: to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members a) For horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 125 points. Four Double Clears will qualify - in accordance with Rule 316.6. b) For all horses born on or after 1 January 2016 irrespective of points. Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of four years or under in the same calendar year as the British Novice Final - in accordance with Rule 316.6. Qualifies for: Senior British Novice Championship - Second Round. Qualifying period: 1st May - 30th April inclusive. Numbers to qualify: Those horses which jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jumpoff, in at least four British Novice First Round competitions held in any qualifying period will qualify to compete in the British Novice Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A rules (Rule 191). Horses in the class must go in to the jump-off and go clear to gain a double clear round qualification. If combined with an open: In Category 1 Shows and in the event of 30 starters or more the Open and the British Novice section will be split with two sets of prize money awarded. In Category 2 Shows the sections must always be split with two sets of prize money awarded, irrespective of starters.

Qualifies for: Nupafeed Supplements Discovery Championship Second Round. Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April inclusive. Numbers to qualify: Those horses that jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jumpoff, in at least four First Round competitions held in any qualifying period, will qualify to compete in the Senior Discovery Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). Horses in the class must go in to the jump-off and go clear to gain a double clear round qualification. If combined with an open: In Category 1 Shows and in the event of 30 starters or more the Open and the Discovery section will be split with two sets of prize money awarded. Numbers to qualify: Those horses which jump a clear round in the First Round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four Lord & Lady Equestrian Senior Newcomers First Round competitions in any qualifying period, will qualify to compete in a Lord & Lady Equestrian Senior Newcomers Second Round, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). To obtain a double clear qualification, even if the horse is the only clear round, it must jump a jump-off round and jump clear to gain a double clear round. ·        No responsibility can be taken by the organisers for any accident or damage to competitors, attendants, animals, spectators, or their property, or vehicles of any description. By entering this competition, the exhibitor of any horse or pony accepts that Bicton Arena, the organiser or any of the officers of the show will not be held responsible or accountable for anything that may happen from any cause or circumstance whatsoever to any persons, exhibitors or their servants or to any animal or article or property brought into the show ground.

·        As a condition of entry, competitors are required to adhere to government restrictions and follow all guidance outlined by British Show jumping https://www.britishshowjumping.co.uk/news/-member-information-of-british-showjumping-phased-return-of-activity 

·        On arrival at Bicton all competitors must leave a minimum 5m space between lorries/trailers and must not leave horses tied up outside unattended.

·        Social distancing (2 metres) must be adhered to by all.

·        All competitors take part at their own risk and are always expected to exercise due care and obey all notices placed for their control.

·        ONLY the rider and one other person on foot may attend our show jumping competitions and one additional person for every additional horse entered.

·        No additional spectators or children will be admitted. No cars.

·        If you are showing any symptoms of Covid-19 YOU MUST NOT come to Bicton Arena.

·        We will provide hand sanitizer in gateways and ask everyone to make use of these before and after touching gate latches and equipment, only touch what is necessary.

·        Strictly no pedestrians are allowed in the arenas, there will be an allocated BA team member in the warmup to adjust the fences.

·        ALL prize money will be paid by BACS (this may take up to 7 days). It is the competitor’s responsibility to download a Prize Money Claim Form from our website and return it to beccy.barrett@clintondevon.com within 14 days of the competition. Prize money must be claimed within 14 days. The correct claim form must be used.

·        Rosettes will be sent in the post if requested.

·        Stabling may not be available upon request.

·        Onsite catering will be available (take away only)

·        Strictly pre-entry only.

·        £3 First aid per rider per day must be paid in advance when entering.

·        Drawn orders will go live on Thursday 9th July at 11:00

·        Any withdrawals after Monday 6th July will not be refunded, withdrawals before this will be refunded in full.

·        The judge’s decision is final

·        All unaffiliated / Club classes are run under BS rules

·        Hats to current British Safety Standard must be worn when mounted. Back protectors are advised. BS dress code

·        Dogs must always be kept on a lead.

·        The organiser reserves the right to alter the schedule, refuse entry and to cancel a class.

·        No lungeing anywhere on the showground

·        Please pick up your muck before leaving.

·        No horse/pony under 4 years of age may compete.

·        All SJ heights are approximate.

·        Practice fences must be jumped in the correct way as flagged and must only be adjusted by the BA team member in the Arena.
