TEAMS
Branches/Clubs may enter up to THREE teams of 3 or 4 competitors (best 3 scores to count) for each level
Note: teams will be split as evenly as possible between the arenas.

PHASE I DRESSAGE:
Copies of the Dressage Tests are available from the Pony Club website: http://www.pcuk.org/index.php/sports/dressage/dressage_tests/

PHASE II SHOW JUMPING:
Elimination: PC70 and PC80 may go cross country at the discretion of the judge and/or organiser. PC90 and PC100
Showjumping elimination means no cross country (except, possibly, technical elimination at judge’s discretion).

PHASE III CROSS COUNTRY:
Competitors are eliminated after 3 refusals at any one jump, or 4 refusals over whole course. Those at PC70 and PC80 may continue, giving way to following riders, unless asked to leave by official Petersfield steward/jump judge.

All hats and back protectors worn in the competition must be checked at the Secretary’s Tent before your number can be collected.
If you have a Woof Wear Body Protector, a labelled key MUST be left with the secretary before your number is given out.

Numbers will be strictly limited, so to avoid disappointment early entry is advised.
It is a condition of entry for Petersfield members or their families to provide help for at least 1 Class. Entries will not be accepted without confirmation of this help
Payment is secure and it goes directly to Petersfield Pony Club.

All Classes: £60.00 which includes Medical Fee
A £10.00 CASH DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED WHEN COLLECTING NUMBER BIBS - this will be returned on the day.
ALL HORSES MUST HAVE UP TODATE PASSPORTS/FLU VACCINATIONS In line with current Pony Club Rules

Terms & Conditions

1. These Horse Trials are open to all but will be run in accordance with the rules of the Pony Club Eventing 2020. If you are unsure of the correct dress for yourself and turnout of your horse or pony in any of the three phases, please check Pony Club Eventing Rule Book on line. It is the responsibility of competitors to comply with the rules. 2. All riding hats must conform to Pony Club Rules 2020. Competitors may not compete without a tagged hat and must wear this at all times when mounted with the chinstrap fastened. A jockey skull with no fixed peak must be worn for all cross country at 0.80m and above. 3. Back protectors are compulsory for the cross country phase. Back protectors used for cross country must meet BETA 2009 Level 3 standard (purple label) or BETA 2018 Level 3 standard (blue and black label). Air Jackets ARE NOT to be worn under any item of clothing. If worn it must only be used in addition to a normal body protector which meets the above standard. Armbands are recommended and if used MUST be worn on the arm. 4. Spurs: Only blunt spurs, without rowels or sharp edges, and spurs that have a smooth rotating ball on the shank may be worn. If the spurs are curved, the curve must be downwards and the shank must point straight to the back and not exceed 4cm in length. The measurement is taken from the heel of the boot to the end of the shank. 5. Dressage phase: whips allowed PC70, PC80 and PC90, not permitted at all PC100. 6. Electronic devices not allowed while rider is competing. Stop watches permitted at PC90 and above. 7. Objections to be lodged with the secretary in writing within thirty minutes of the incident, together with a £10.00 deposit which will only be refunded if the objection is upheld. 8. Disclaimer of Liability: Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis. 9. Health and Safety: The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards. 10. Competitors who are not members of The Pony Club are not covered by The Pony Club insurance and must have their own third party cover. The Petersfield Branch of The Pony Club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non-Members and their insurance will not cover you. 11. Privacy Notice: Please note that we will be publishing the competitors’ times and results on our website, this will include competitors’ name, horse name, branch and full results. If you wish your details to be excluded from these publications please make a note of this on your entry form. Please refer to our branch privacy policy on our website. 12. Should the event be cancelled the organisers reserve the right to withhold £10.00 of each entry fee to offset costs incurred. 13. No entry fees (less £10.00 admin fees) will be refunded after close of entries unless a veterinary or medical certificate is produced within one week of the event, subject to notification of withdrawal prior to the event. 14. Horse/pony may compete in only one class. 15. Competitors will be required to report to stewards for all phases 15 minutes before their time. Failure to comply will carry the risk of elimination. 16. All stallions must wear identifying disc on their bridle - written permission needed from DC/Centre Head.
