1st = 12, 2nd = 10, 3rd = 8, 4th = 6, 5th = 4, 6th = 3. Double Clear Points = 3.
Points are allocated depending on the number of starters; every one in five registered starters is eligible for points. If
you gain a double clear you will receive three points regardless of starters. If a combination competes in more than
two consecutive height classes per show day only the points from the bigger classes will be graded.

• British Novice:
For registered ponies in Grade JD, that have not won a total of 150 Points to be ridden by Junior Members, ages as
per Rule 77.12/77.13.
Qualifies for: Pony British Novice Championship Second Rounds. Qualifying period 1st May-30th April inclusive.
Numbers to qualify: Those ponies that jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jumpoff, in at least four Pony British Novice First Round competitions held in the qualifying period will qualify to compete
in a Pony British Novice Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which
will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). Ponies in the class must go in to the jump-off and go
clear to gain their double clear round qualification. The winner of a particular Pony British Novice First Round competition will not automatically qualify solely as a result of that competition.
• 80cm Open:
For registered ponies in Grade JA, JC, JD to be ridden by Junior Members
If combined with an open:
In the event of 15 or more starters this class will be split with two sets of prize money. Ponies may enter one section
only.
British Showjumping Boots / Leg Protection Ruling applies to this class, in accordance with Rule 102.15. Failure to

• Blue Chip Pony Newcomers is for registered ponies in Grade JC & JD that have not won a total of 500 points to be
ridden by Junior Members.
Qualifies for: Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Second Round. Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April inclusive. Numbers to
qualify: Those ponies that jump a clear round in the First Round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off in at least
four Blue Chip Pony Newcomers First Round competitions held in any qualifying period will qualify to compete in a
Pony Newcomers Second Round.
• The Open Section is for registered ponies in Grade JA, JC, JD to be ridden by Junior Members. Junior Members, in
either the Open or the Newcomers Section who have not won a total of 500 Points are eligible for double clear
qualification for the Pony Restricted Rider 1.00m Championship. Riders who have accrued points on the Pony Gold
League are not eligible to compete in the Restricted Rider 1.00m Final.
Qualifies for: Four double clears will qualify for the Pony Restricted Rider 1.00m Championship to be held at the
British Showjumping National Championships. Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April. Qualification is ony/rider
Combination.
Ponies may compete in one section only.
British Showjumping Boots / Leg Protection Ruling applies to this class, in accordance with Rule 102.15. Failure to
comply will incur disqualification.
This class is pre-entry only. Entries close at midday the day before the show and approximate class times will be published on our website and Facebook page in the aftErnoon.

Payment Details & Event Fees
Competitors may book in advance or on the day subject to availability.
We will allow entries to be kept open until the end of the show only where payment details can be provided. Entry fees will be deducted at the end of each day. (Does not apply for pre-entry only classes)
You can enter using a Secure Online Entry System:
Payment is secure and it goes directly Wellington Riding.
You will receive an email confirmation of your class entry and payment.
First Aid £4 per rider/ per day.
Entries made on the day, will be subject to an additional £3 late entry fee per class. During the winter months we are restricted by the light and entries often fill up before the close of our pre-entry deadline. If you are planning to make an entry on the day please call in advance to ensure that there is space.
Stabling Information: Yes
Stabling: A very limited number of permanent stables are available offsite on our sister yard. This is a 5 minute drive from Wellington Riding. To enquire about stabling please call 01189225379 or email shows@wellington-riding.co.uk
All prize money is paid by BACS to the rider. Bank account number and sort code must be provided for this purpose. Prize money is usually paid a few days following the close of the show.
In line with BS rule 79.5 cancellations received by noon 48 hours before the first day of the competition will have 50% of the entry fees refunded. After this time, no refunds will be given

IMPORTANT – Rules pertaining to the Health & Safety of all persons at Wellington Riding.
i) All competitors should wear a correctly fastened hat to the current BSI Standards at all times when mounted on the show ground.
ii) All dogs should be kept on a lead at all times.
iii) All horses or ponies, when outside the arena, should be moved at the walk only, to ensure the safety of all spectators and pedestrians.
iv) Children under the age of 16 years should be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18 yrs, who will be held responsible for their behaviour and welfare.
v) Please note that flash photography is strictly forbidden. Mobile phones should be switched off during competitions. Smoking is prohibited anywhere on site
vi) For safety reasons, the gate across the main driveway must be kept closed at all times.
