Priority is given to Eventers Challenge competitors who have been given times. Clear Round may be suspended depending on entries and conditions. Competitors who enter Clear Round Show Jumping only must register with the Show Secretary.

The Eventers Challenge is a competition over a mixed course of Show Jumps on the all-weather surface and Cross Country fences on grass, ridden as a single round. The riders complete the showjumping course of approx 8 fences, then continue on to the XC course of approx 10 obstacles. The winner will be the rider who completes the entire course with the least number of penalties in the show jumping and XC overall, and closest to the optimum XC time.

Entries in advance, online entries preferred. Telephone & E-mail entries will not be accepted. Only online or postal entries will be accepted. Incomplete entries will not be considered. **THERE WILL BE NO ENTRIES ON THE DAY** except Clear Round Showjumping.

Bibs: Printed numbers will be issued. Please make sure you have your own competition bib with you. Bibs must be worn on top of clothing/body protectors with number showing front and back.

Withdrawals/Refunds

Withdrawals: Those who withdraw in writing before the closing date will have their entry fee, less an admin fee of £4.00 per Class refunded. No online entry fees will be returned under any circumstances. Entry fees in any other circumstances will not be refunded. All Competitors who withdraw for whatever reason, should inform the Show Secretary on 01628 666222 or by e-mail on shows@snowballfarm.co.uk.

Terms & Conditions

Competitors entering Classes 1 and/or 2 may not enter Class 7. The Show Secretary must be informed of changes to Horse or Rider at least 20mins before the class start time. Change of Horse and Rider is not allowed.

Clear Round Showjumping: the course will be available for Clear Round Showjumping for competitors who have completed their Eventers Challenge or who are not entered in any Eventers Challenge class.  Tickets from the Show Secretary: £5.00  Priority is given to Eventers Challenge competitors. Clear Round showjumping may be suspended depending on entries and conditions.  Competitors who enter Clear Round showjumping only must register with the Show Secretary.

Horse/ponies must be 5yrs or older except for Mini classes where they must be at least 4yrs old. Ponies must be over 137cm in height. Smaller ponies are allowed but may only enter Classes 1 and 2. Riders must have attained the age of 10 years by the date of the competition . Points won in BE Events will not apply.

Course: The Eventers Challenge course is made up of a combination of approx 8 show jumps and approx 10 cross country obstacles. Riders complete the show jumping course on the all weather surface, then ride straight out onto the cross country course and ride the XC obstacles. The winners will be the competitors with the least number of penalties in the show jumping and XC, and closest to the optimum XC time.

The competition is guided by BE rules.

Warm Up: No-one on foot in the warm-up arena. No leading/lungeing in the small all-weather arena. Anyone asked to leave the warm-up areas by the Steward must do so immediately. Please respect the jump flags. Priority is given to Eventers Challenge competitors. Show Jumping Warm-up can be found in the small all-weather arena, to the rear of the lorry park (depending on conditions).

Correct riding attire must be worn in all classes. Cross Country colours or show jackets are acceptable. Correctly fitted hard hat, manufactured to one of the current safety standards, such as PAS015:2011; with BSI Kite mark, with no fixed brim, and with a three-point linkage properly adjusted and fastened, must be worn at all times when mounted at Snowball Farm. Hair must be kept no longer than collar length. No jewellery. Medical armbands optional but recommended and body protectorscompulsory for all those competing.

Box and trailer parking is in the field opposite the Farm. Please abide by any signage. Spectators are welcome but please park in the field opposite the Farm and not in the Farm car park. Please keep children under close supervision. All dogs must be kept on leads (non-extending) at all times.

The ruling of the Judges, Fence Judges, Timekeepers and Stewards is final. A deposit of £15.00 must be lodged prior to an objection (in writing), which will be returned if the objection is upheld.

The Organisers reserve the right to refuse entry to any Class for whatever reason they deem necessary, to disqualify any rider at any stage, to alter the schedule at any time. Should the event be abandoned then a £4.00 admin fee will be retained on all refunds. No liability shall fall on the Organisers, Landowners, Judges and Officials in respect of any loss, damage or injury howsoever caused and all competitors are deemed to be liable to indemnify the said persons in respect of any such loss, damage or injury.
