BSPS Mixed Height Novice WHP
Info:
Not exceeding 158cms. Competitors must jump in their correct height section and be the correct age for the height of the pony they ride. Riders must declare which section they are competing in. Riders may ride more than one animal, providing the animals are of a different height section.
Section A: Nursery Stakes Max height 60cms, Spread 55cms
Section B: Not exceeding 133cms. Max height 75cms, Spread 70cms.
Section C: Not exceeding 143cms Max height 85cms, Spread 80cms.
Section D: Not exceeding 153cms. Max height 90cms, Spread 85cms.
Section E: Intermediates WH Max height 1m, Spread 95cms.

The following classes will not start before 11 .am
Unaffiliated Open: Open to mares and geldings four years old or over, Not exceeding 128cms..To be shown in a snaffle bit, the leading rein must be attached to the noseband only. The reins must go directly from the bit to the rider’s hands. (Riders must not have attained their 11th birthday by 1st January in the current year).

First Ridden Show Pony/ Show Hunter Pony
Info:
Open First Pony of show Pony or of show hunter Pony type, not exceeding 122cms. Riders not to have attained their 10th birthday before 1st January in the current year. Snaffle bridles only. No cantering is allowed except for individual performances, ponies must leave the ring at the walk or trot.

Riders on ponies eligible for Restricted qualification must wear an armband

BSPS Restricted Ridden Part Bred Pony
Info:
Stallion, mare or gelding, 4 years old or over not exceeding 148cms. Riders any age with the exception of those riding stallions who must have attained their 14th birthday before 1st January in the current year. (For Rules for Part-Bred class see back cover of this schedule and BSPS Rule Book)

Entry Fees: £12.00, Late entries £15.
In Mixed Height Novice classes the 1st. 2nd. 3rd. and 4th. placed ponies will qualify. In Mixed Height Open (Restricted) the four highest placed Restricted animals will qualify.
Qualifiers for BSPS Winter Champs 2020
CHAMPIONSHIP FOR FIRST AND SECOND PRIZE WINNERS IN CLASSES 1, 2, 3 AND 4.
CHAMPIONSHIP FOR FIRST AND SECOND PRIZEWINNERS OF CLASSES 7 - 12.
General Rules
Dogs are not allowed on the show site
Lunging is not allowed in the lorry park or working-in areas.
Passports will be inspected and all ponies entered must have been vaccinated within the last twelve months and the last vaccination given at least 7 days before the date of the show.
This Show is affiliated to the British Show Pony Society (“B.S.P.S.”), and all persons entering, competing, showing or otherwise taking part in B.S.P.S. classes, whether or not members of the B.S.P.S. are subject to the Rules of the B.S.P.S., including the disciplinary procedures, and shall be deemed to have consented to the jurisdiction of the B.S.P.S.”
Animals eligible for Restricted classes must not have been placed 1st to 8th at the R.I.H.S.(except Pretty Polly), or H.O.Y.S. in 2018/2019/2020.
Rules for Part Bred Class 12 :
1. A copy of the pony’s passport, showing its registration or overstamping with either the AHS, WPCS, DPS, BCPS or NFPB&CS must be logged with B.S.P.S. prior to entry.
2. All ponies must be shown plaited.
3. 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizewinners to qualify for the 2020 B.S.P.S. Winter Championship Show.
4. Animals in the Part Bred classes will NOT be ridden by the judge.
5. Owners and riders must be B.S.P.S. Members, except in the case of exhibitors who have never been B.S.P.S. members before who are allowed 7 days in which to join.
