Clemmie / BHS Scotland Riding Club Style Jumping Series 2019
Eligibility: Horses must be 4yo or over. No height restrictions. Horses must not have won more than £175 BS or have more than 10 BE points. Riders must be 18yo or older on 1 Jan 2019 and must not have competed in any FEI competition or be an FBHS or have taken their BHSII exams in the last 10 years. To compete at the final, the rider of the horse must be a member of a riding club affiliated to BRC. The course: The course will have 8 to 12 obstacles, maximum 85cm in height with a maximum spread of 90cm one of which should be a double. All aspects of the course should comply with BS standards. The optimum speed for this competition is set at 325mpm. One penalty point will be deducted for every second over the optimum time. Qualification: The first three partnerships will qualify for the final.

BHS Scotland Riding Club Working Hunter Qualifier (1.00m)

Dodson & Horrell / BHS SCOTLAND RIDING CLUB WORKING HUNTER QUALIFIER 2019
(No horse from class 1, 2 or 3 can compete in this class) Fences approx. 3ft 3” Classes will be judged in line with Sport Horse GB rules. Please be aware of rule number 48H which states: All ridden hunters must be shod all round. No pads or surgical shoes are allowed. Hats must conform to the standards specified in the BRC rulebook. Final will take place at BLAIR CASTLE INTERNATIONAL HORSE TRIALS in August 2019 Eligibility: Horses must be 15hh and over. Horses must not have won more than £400 in total in any WH competitions, more than £400 in BS winnings or have more than 45 BE points. Riders must be 18yo or over on 1 Jan 2019
Course: You will be asked to jump a course of 8-12 fences approx 3ft3” in height. Classes will be judged in line with Sport Horse Breeding Society of GB rules. Hats must conform to the BRC rulebook.
Qualification: The first three partnerships in each qualifier will qualify for the final even if they did not jump clear. If one of the first three has already qualified, their qualification can be passed down to the fourth placed horse and rider provided they jumped clear. To be eligible for the final, the rider must be a member of a riding club affiliated to BRC.
Class 6
BHS Scotland Riding Club Working Hunter Qualifier (1.05m)

Eastern BMW / BHS SCOTLAND WORKING HUNTER SERIES QUALIFIER 2019
Classes will be judged in line with Sport Horse GB rules. Please be aware of rule number 48H which states: All ridden hunters must be shod all round. No pads or surgical shoes are allowed. Hats must conform to the standards specified in the BRC rulebook. Final will take place at BLAIR CASTLE INTERNATIONAL HORSE TRIALS in August 2019 Eligibility: Horses must be 15hh or over, 4 years old and over. Riders must be 18 years old or over. To compete at the final, either the rider or owner of the horse must be a member of the BHS. Course: 8-12 fences approx. 3ft6”, judged in line with Sports Horse GB rules. Qualifying: The first three partnerships will qualify even if they have not jumped clear. If one of these has already qualified, their qualification may be handed down to the fourth placed horse and rider provided they had a clear round in the jumping.

WORKING HUNTER AND SHOWING SHOW – RULES
UNDER BRC RULES APPLYING TO THIS EVENT, ALL RIDERS WHEN MOUNTED, WHETHER COMPETING OR NOT, MUST WEAR A HARD HAT COMPLYING WITH ONE OF THE FOLLOWING SPECIFICATIONS AND WITH THE STRAP PROPERLY ADJUSTED AND FASTENED.
I) PAS015 (1998 OR 2011) AND MUST HAVE OFFICIAL BSI KITE MARK
II) VG1 01.040 (2014-12) AND MUST HAVE OFFICIAL BSI KITE MARK
III) ASTM F1163 (2004A OR 04A ONWARDS) AND MUST HAVE OFFICIAL SEI MARK
IV) SNELL E2001 AND MUST HAVE OFFICIAL SNELL LABEL AND NUMBER
V) AS/NZS 3838 (2006 ONWARDS) AND MUST HAVE OFFICIAL SAI GLOBAL MARK
IT IS THE RIDER’S RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THEY ARE WEARING HATS TO THE CORRECT STANDARD. ANY RIDER FOUND TO BE USING A HAT TO A LOWER SPECIFICATION WILL BE DISQUALIFIED. RIDERS SHOULD BE AWARE THAT RIDING IN A HAT WHICH IS NOT UP TO THE STANDARD SPECIFIED ABOVE MAY INVALIDATE ANY INSURANCE

HORSES/PONIES MUST ONLY BE RIDDEN AT WALK EXCEPT IN DESIGNATED WARM-UP AREAS.

IF ANY CLASS HAS INSUFFICIENT NUMBERS IT MAY BE COMBINED WITH ANOTHER APPROPRIATE CLASS. IF THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE, COMPETITORS WILL BE GIVEN ADVANCE NOTICE OF CANCELLATION OF THE CLASS AND ENTRY FEES WILL BE REFUNDED.

THERE WILL BE FIRST AIDERS PRESENT AT THE SHOW AND A VET CAN BE CALLED IF REQUIRED. NO FARRIER WILL BE PRESENT.

DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED OUT OF VEHICLES AT THE VENUE.

NEITHER THE ORGANISERS, WEST KYPE FARM, NOR ANYONE ACTING ON THEIR BEHALF ACCEPT ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOSS, DAMAGE OR INJURY TO ANY PERSONS, ANIMALS OR PROPERTY WHATSOEVER.

THE ORGANISERS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ENTRY WITHOUT HAVING TO STATE A REASON.

ALL CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 16 MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A RESPONSIBLE ADULT AT ALL TIMES.

COMPLAINTS MUST BE PUT IN WRITING AND GIVEN TO THE SHOW SECRETARY, ACCOMPANIED BY A £20 DEPOSIT, WITHIN 30 MNS OF THE INCIDENT COMPLAINED OF. THE DEPOSIT WILL BE RETURNED IF THE COMPLAINT IS UPHELD BY THE ORGANISING COMMITTEE.

THE ORGANISERS MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO AVOID CLASSES CLASHING, BUT IN THE EVENT OF SUCH A CLASH, THE COMPETITOR MUST DECIDE IN WHICH CLASS THEY WISH TO COMPETE.

IN RESPECT OF ANY CLASSES AT THIS SHOW WHICH ARE QUALIFIERS FOR SUBSEQUENT CHAMPIONSHIP SHOWS, COMPLIANCE WITH ANY RELEVANT ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THESE CLASSES IS THE COMPETITOR’S RESPONSIBILITY AND NOT THAT OF THE CLUB OR SHOW ORGANISERS’.

IF ANYONE HAS ANY OBJECTIONS TO PHOTOGRAPHS BEEN TAKEN ON DAY PLEASE NOTIFY THE SHOW SECRETARY.

COMPETITORS ARE REQUIRED TO TAKE HOME ANY RUBBISH AS A MATTER OF COURTESY ACCEPTANCE OF THE FOREGOING PROVISIONS IS A CONDITION OF ENTRY.
