Show Information

Pre-Entries close 5pm 2 days prior to each event.
Please note there may be limited entries on the day for competitors wishing to try a higher course or competing HC
All classes will be run over a section of 7 – 8 Show Jumps followed by a variety of cross-country portable fences and a water splash (total number of jumps aprox 18 – 20), all situated on an all-weather surface. Faults to be accumulated over both sections. The first section will be timed. The Competitor will jump the whole course unless eliminated. The winner will be the combination with the least faults over the whole course and the fastest time in the Show Jumping section. All courses are built on ‘horse’ distances

Payment Details & Event Fees
Entries made via any other method other than online will be charged at the higher rate (£2 extra per class) without exception.
Payment is secure and it goes directly to Cherwell Competition Centre.
You will receive an email confirmation of your booking and payment.

Prize Information
Prize Information: Prize Money £17, £10, £5
Rosettes to 6th in both Sections.
Prize Money will be dependent on number of starters:
5 Starters = 1st Place, 10 Starters = 1st and 2nd Place, 15 Starters = 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place

Special Classes
The league will start again in January and will run through the whole of 2019 ending in December 2019
Each league winner will receive a rosette and trophy – The winner over all the leagues will also win a Cherwell saddle cloth

Withdrawals/Refunds
Due to rising costs we are no longer able to transfer entries. Entry fees are only refundable with a vets/doctors certificate.

Terms & Conditions
1. YOUR COMPLETED entry form or booking online shall be construed as acceptance of these rules.
2. Telephone entries or entries made without the appropriate fee will not be accepted.
3. In the event of cancellation entries will be transferred to a future date arena eventing date
4. The Organisers reserve the right to cancel, add to or amend any of the classes they think fit, alter advertised times, refuse entry without stating reasons.
5. The decision of the judge(s) is final.
6. No horse/pony under the age of four years may compete, and only horses/ponies competing in the show may be ridden on the show ground.
7. Practice jumps must be jumped from correct side; failure to do so may result in competitor being eliminated. Similar action may be taken in the event of misuse of whips or equipment.
8. The Event will run in conjunction with current British Eventing Rules
9. HATS All riders MUST wear correctly fitting approved protective headgear conforming to PAS 015 or BSEN 1284. Hats tagged by British Eventing, British Riding Clubs or Pony Club are acceptable. Hats must be worn and be correctly fastened AT ALL TIMES when mounted. HAIR Riders must wear their hair no longer than shoulder length, neatly & firmly secured.
10. BODY PROTECTORS MUST BE WORN. Correct riding dress, including light coloured breeches or jodhpurs, must be worn. Cross country colours allowed.
11. No horse/pony to be left unattended or tied to a trailer/lorry alone
12. Please respect the show ground. Do not skip out lorries/trailers onto the park.
13. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times and waste should be disposed of sensibly.
14. Objections accompanied by a deposit of £20 must be made in writing to the Secretary within 15 minutes of the incident; the deposit will be forfeited if the objection is not sustained.
15. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY The Organisers or Landowners shall not be liable for any claim for loss or damage to competitors, onlookers, their servants, horses, ponies or other animals, vehicles, equipment or any other item in connection with the show or on the showground, however caused. Competitors are to satisfy themselves that they have assessed the risk factor in competing in the show. It is a condition of entry that each participant will satisfy themselves as to their own ability to ride safely and indemnify the Organisers against any accident or loss however caused.
16. HEALTH & SAFETY Reasonable precautions will be taken at each show to ensure the health and safety of all persons present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents and obey the instructions of the Organisers, Officials and Stewards.
17.The expense of any veterinary services rendered either on or after the Show must be borne by the competitor or owner of stock.
18. If you are competing at Cherwell Competition Centre and have travelled alone, you must notify the Secretary and leave contact details in case of an emergency.
19. Cherwell Competition Centre accept no responsibility for the loss or damage to persons or their property whilst on our premises. It is recommended that all items of value be locked away at all times.
20.Children must not be left of the premises unattended!
21. Horses and Ponies must not be left tied up to the lorry / trailer.
22. Stables must be left clean and tidy with banks up. Only stables booked may be used.
