FSM Clinic with Jo Swain, BD UKCC L4 Coach
Prior to the event, each rider will be sent a form asking for the following basic details in preparation for the day:
What level is the test being designed for?
Details of movements you and your horse are good at performing at this level
Details of movements you and your horse find more difficult
Summary of your horses personality plus details of height / type / breed etc
Jo will then use this information to design an individual floor plan for each of the riders attending.
Each rider will also be sent a copy of BD's Guidelines for Dressage to Music (a judges guide) for them to read through prior to the dattending day.
Although aimed at judges, the document is very informative and may answer many of their questions but may also clarify what they want to get out of the session with Jo and specific questions they may have with their own horse / floor plan etc.
Each rider will have a 45 minute one-to-one session with Jo who will go through their individual floor plans and refining it where necessary.
Jo will also discuss the movements, how they need to be executed and what the judges will be looking for as they go through their floor plans.
The 'final' floor plan can then be videoed by a friend / fellow rider. The video can then be sent with a copy of the floor plan to a DTM music composer who will then compile a music CD specifically for that floor plan / test level / rider (not included in costs).
