British Novice: Entry qualifications: to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members. a) For Horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 125 points. Four Double Clears will qualify - in accordance with Rule 316.6. b) For all horses born on or after 1 January 2014 irrespective of points. Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of four years or under in the same calendar year as the British Novice Final - in accordance with Rule 316.6 Qualifies for: KBIS Insurance British Novice Championship - Second Round. Qualifying period yearly 1st May - 30th April inclusive. Numbers to qualify: Those horses which jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four KBIS Insurance British Novice First Round competitions held in any qualifying period will qualify to compete in and attend four KBIS Insurance British Novice Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A rules (Rule 191). Horses in the class must go in to the jump-off and go clear to gain a double clear round qualification. If combined with an open: In Category 1 Shows and in the event of 30 starters or more the Open and the British Novice section will be split with two sets of prize money awarded. In Category 2 Shows the sections must always be split with two sets of prize money awarded, irrespective of starters.

Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of five years or under in the same calendar year as the Discovery Final - in accordance with Rule 314.6. Qualifies for: Nupafeed Supplements Discovery Championship Second Round. Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April inclusive. Numbers to qualify: Those horses that jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four First Round competitions held in any qualifying period, will qualify to compete in and attend four Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). For registered horses, to be ridden by Full, Associate or Junior members. Table A7, Single Phase or Two Phase. Speed 325mpm Numbers to qualify: Approx. 35 horse/rider combinations based on League Points awarded in the equine MATRIX qualifiers. Allocation of Points: Points will be awarded to horse/rider combinations placed 8th = or higher on the following scale; 1st 12 points 2nd 9 points 3rd 8 points 4th 7 points 5th 6 points 6th 5 points 7th 4 points 8th 3 points (Horse/rider combinations placed equal will share equally the total points attributable to the combined placings (for example, four riders placed 4th equal receive 7 + 6 + 5 + 4 divided by 4 = 5.5 points each). In the event of equality of League Points at the end of the series, the highest placed competitor on equal points in the equine MATRIX 1.05m Championship Final will be the winner of the equine MATRIX League. The winner of the equine MATRIX 1.05m League must be a starter in the equine MATRIX 1.05m Final. In addition, the winner of the Final will be crowned the Champion for a twelve-month period. Special Rules NUMBERS TO QUALIFY: APPROX 35 RIDERS WILL QUALIFY FOR THE equine MATRIX 2018 FINAL. (Cherwell Competition Centre reserves the right to change the venue for the Final) Horse/rider combinations will qualify, based on points accumulated from the equine MATRIX qualifiers held at Cherwell Competition Centre throughout the summer 2018 season. Horse/Rider combinations may enter as many equine MATRIX qualifiers as they like. In the event of equal place, all those on equal points will qualify unless the total qualifiers exceed 45. In this event numbers to qualify will be rounded down to less than 35. Qualified horse / rider combinations will be invited to contest the final to be held at Cherwell Competition Centre on Sunday 9th September 2018. The winner of the equine MATRIX 1.05m Championship Final will win £250 First Prize, Winners Rug, and Sash The winner of the equine MATRIX 1.05m League will be awarded a Sash and Saddle Cloth

Four double clears will qualify for the Senior Newcomers Second Rounds. Qualifying period 1st June - 31st May inclusive. 1.10m Open: For registered horses ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members. If combined with an open: In the event of 30 or more starters the class will be split with two sets of prize money. The CWD Sellier 1.10m Qualifying League Series will be incorporated into ALL BS Senior Newcomers Classes held throughout the season at Cherwell Competition Centre. For registered horses, to be ridden by Full, Associate or Junior members. The winner of the CWD 1.10m League will be awarded a £50 CWD Voucher, Winners Sash and Saddle Cloth.

Horses will be eligible for double clear qualification to attend second rounds providing they reach the age of seven years or under in the same calendar year as the Foxhunter Final - in accordance with rule 310.6 Four double clears will qualify. Four Double clears will qualify for the Senior Foxhunter Second Rounds. Qualifying period: 1st June-31st May inclusive. Those horses that have qualified for the Senior Foxhunter Championship in 2017 are not eligible for qualification to the 2018 Championship. Open section: For registered horses ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members. If combined with an open: In the event of 30 or more starters the class will be split with two sets of prize money. The Kevin Bacon 1.20m Qualifying League Series will be incorporated into ALL BS Senior Foxhunter Classes held throughout the season at Cherwell Competition Centre. In addition, Kevin Bacons Horse Care Products will be awarded to 6th Place. The winner of the Kevin Bacons Horse Care 1.20m League will be awarded a Kevin Bacons Sash, Rug and Kevin Bacons Products.

Entries made via any other method other than online will be charged at the higher rate (£2 extra per class) without exception.
Payment is secure and it goes directly to Cherwell Competition Centre.

First Aid will be charged at £5 per rider per day.

Stabling Information: Yes
Overnight stables are available from 5pm on day of arrival until 5pm on day of departure. Day stables (if available) are from 8am – 5pm. All stables must be paid for at time of booking. A clean stable deposit of £10 per stable will be payable upon booking. You will receive a refund on inspection of your stable upon your departure. If you leave the showground without having your stable checked for your refund, you will lose your stable deposit. All hay, droppings and wet shavings must be removed. Cherwell Competition Centre enforces a strict ‘NO STRAW’ policy, only chippings/shavings allowed on site. Stables are allocated on a first come, first served basis. Once booked, refunds will only be considered on receipt of a vet’s/doctor’s certificate. Any refund will incur a £10 admin fee per box, stables are transferable

Terms & Conditions
1. The Show Organiser referred to in these Rules and Regulations shall hereinafter mean Cherwell Competition Centre. The Cherwell Competition Centre Shows will hereinafter be referred to as the Show. 2. The Show, Show Organiser, Volunteers and Officials do not accept liability for any accident, damage, injury, theft or illness to horses, riders, owners, spectators or any other person or property whatsoever. 3. The Show Organiser retains as its absolute discretion the right to decline or exclude or remove any person or animal from the show or future shows or return any entry fee without being required to assign reason or being liable for any compensation. 4. Competitions – The Show Organiser reserves the right to cancel, add to, or amend any of the competitions, as they think fit, with the approval of the British Show jumping. Prizes may be withheld under rule 76.6. 5. Smoking – Smoking is not permitted within any of the showground buildings or stables. Please do not throw cigarette ends on the floor. For litter please use the bins provided. 6. Collecting Ring – All warming up must be done in the designated Collecting Rings provided. Persons found abusing horses on the showground may be asked to leave. 7. Refund of Entry – Refunds will only be in accordance with British Show jumping Rule 79.5.1. 8. Vehicles – The Show Organiser reserves the right to remove any vehicle which is obstructing any access to or from the ground even if locked and unattended. The Show Organiser will not be liable for any injury, loss or damage occasioned by such removal. 9. Dogs – Dogs are permitted on the show ground, but they must be kept on a lead at all times. If, in the opinion of the Show organiser, any person fails to control their dog/s they may be asked to leave the Showground. 10. Prize Giving – The Show organiser reserves the right to withhold prizes if competitors do not attend the Official Prize Giving. 11. Objections – Objection should be made in writing in accordance to British Show Jumping. Rule 198. Two Show Stewards will be appointed to the Show in accordance to Rule 96.2 12. Official Photographs – Any photographs taken by the Official Photographer may be used by the show organiser for promotional purposes. 13. First Aid – A total of £5 per day per competitor will be charged towards medical cover during the hours of competition. 14. Vaccination Certificate – All horses at the show must have a current and valid certificate of vaccination against Equine Influenza. There will be random checking of certificates and any horse found without a valid certificate will be asked to leave the show ground. 15. Stallions – No person shall allow a stallion for which he/she is responsible as owner, lessee, authorised agent or rider to compete or be prepared to compete, in any class without taking adequate precautions to ensure other persons are not put at risk of injury. 16. Close of Entries –Entries will close at the start of each class. Should space be available late entries may be accepted with an additional fee of £5 being charged per entry. 17. Entry Fees – All accounts must be settled before competitor or owner leaves the show ground. If account is not settled by the end of the event an additional admin charge of £10 will be added to the account. 18. ANY PERSON (S) & THEIR ASSOCIATES FOUND MISBEHAVING OR CAUSING DAMAGE WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE VENUE IMMEDIATELY
