Roy Phillamore Memorial Trophies
In loving memory of ‘our Roy’ we will be presenting four horse/pony rider combinations with a beautiful, Memorial Trophy. Roy was a fantastic ambassador for Weston Lawns and encouraged all those who competed in his Weston Arena to ‘have a go’. He constantly encouraged the nervous and those first timers to keep on going and push themselves on to the next level.
We would like to thank all those people who have contributed to purchasing the beautiful trophies, in Roy’s memory.

The format; A horse and rider combination may compete in any number of classes, at any height, however only points from a maximum of two classes will count towards the Memorial Trophy points table. Riders must indicate on their entry form which classes they would like to use to earn points, if they intend to compete in more than two classes.Riders are only eligible for one category

Points will be allocated to each horse and rider combination as follows; 99 - 1st, 88 - 2nd, 79 - 3rd, 68 - 4th, 59 - 5th, 48 - 6th, 39 - 7th, 28 - 8th, 19 - 9th, 8 - 10th
The four categories are as follows (age at 1st January 2016); 12 Years and Under, 18 Years and Under, 35 Years and Under, 36 Years and Over.
Top 3 horse/ rider combinations in each category will receive a trophy and the winner also wins Roy’s memorial perpetual shield

Entries are accepted on the day or you can enter in advance using the Secure Online Entry System.
Payment is secure and it goes directly to Weston Lawns.
You will receive an email confirmation of your class entry and payment.
All Competitors must become a minimum of a bronze member of Weston Lawns, please present your membership card when entering.
Membership forms are available on the day from the office.

NOTE:
Please state on your entry the class/es you would like to use for the Roy Phillamore Memorial Trophy (maximum TWO classes for each horse/pony rider combination to count for points.) No changes can be made to this selection once submitted to the entries Secretary. NB: Horse/pony and rider combinations registered with British Showjumping in the current year, are not allowed to compete for the Perpetual Trophies.

The presentation of Roy’s memorial perpetual shield’s will take place during our unaffiliated jumping show on Saturday 15th October 2016.

Entries in all affiliated classes are confined to horses registered with the BSJA rule 79.
No responsibility will be accepted by the organisers for anything that may happen to competitors, onlookers or their property, servants or anyone in connection with the event.
It shall be considered a condition of entry that each entrant agrees to indemnify the organisers against any legal action arising thereto.
The decision of the Judges is final. If any person wishes to lodge a complaint, this must be done so in writing within 30 minutes of the incident along with a deposit of £20 (which will be returned if the complaint is upheld).
The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry, amend the details of the schedule should it become necessary, or to cancel any class with insufficient entries.
Once a class has been entered, refunds will not be given unless in accordance with rule 79.4.
In accordance with BSJA rule 82.21, no member shall allow a stallion for which he/she is responsible as owner, leesee, authorised agent or rider to compete (or being prepared to compete) without taking adequate precautions to ensure other members of the public are not put at risk.
In the event of insufficient starters, BSJA rule 76.6 will apply.
