This year we will be running four training events on the Saturdays before competitions on the Sundays. You do not have to be entered for the competitions to take part in training and vice versa. All training will be in groups of up to four this year to accommodate as many riders as possible. Training provides an opportunity to practice a range of obstacles from the PTV phase of a trec competition in an enclosed arena. This will also be useful for riders with novice or spooky horses and great fun if you want to have a go at something a bit different. Riders will be organised into groups of similar ability or trec experience and you can tackle obstacles in-hand as well as mounted. Do as much or as little as you want – there is no pressure to tackle any obstacle you are not happy about. For potential ‘treccies’, I will explain how to achieve the maximum points for each obstacle and give you tips on how to improve your performance or overcome problems. Suitable for all ages and abilities. The length of time for your session will depend on the number in the group – 45 minutes for 2 riders, 60 minutes for 3 riders and 90 minutes for 4 riders.

Places will be limited and entries will only be accepted with full payment (by the Thursday before each training event). Priority will be given to Wittering Academy RC members.
