Please note that permanent fences are flagged but not numbered. These do not form part of the numbered competition course. It is the rider’s responsibility to ensure they are aware of the correct course for their class.

Payment Details & Event Fees
Postal or Online Entries only. Entries accepted in advance using our Secure Online Entry System.
Payment is secure and it goes directly to Deer Park. You will receive an email confirmation of your class entry and payment.
First Aid £2.00 per rider.
Deer Park number bibs only to be worn and a £5 refundable deposit is required on collection of your bib.
Classes 1, 2, 4 and 6 will be split into Junior (15 years and Under) and Senior (16 and Over) sections.
Rosettes 1st – 8th in both sections.
With qualifiers for Horseware National Hunter Trial series: Classes 4, 5 & 6 are qualifiers for the Horseware National Hunter Trial 2017 series. First 3 junior & senior places jumped clear will qualify.
Withdrawal / cancellation of entries will incur a £5 admin fee at organisers discretion. No refunds or credits will be given after the closing date.
Judging and Scoring.
1st refusal, run out or circle – 20 penalties,2nd refusal, run out or circle – 40 penalties 3rd refusal, run out or circle – Elimination. Competitors may continue on the course at the Fence Judges discretion
Unseated rider / fall of horse and / or rider- Elimination with no remounting. Competitor must leave the course immediately by the quickest and safest route.
Trapped horse - Elimination with no remounting. Competitor must leave the course immediately by the quickest and safest route.
Error of Course - Elimination. Competitors may continue on the course at the Fence Judges discretion.
Winners are those with least number of penalties. In the event of a tie, the fastest time through the timed section wins.
Rules & Regulations.
Riders age as at 1st January 2017
Hats conforming to current British Safety Standards must be worn at all times when mounted. Hats without fixed peaks are strongly recommended.
Medical Armbands and Body protectors are compulsory
No horse or pony may compete in more than 2 classes. Stallions permitted by prior agreement only.
All jewellery must be removed and piercings removed or taped over.
Dogs must be kept on short leads at ALL times and children supervised, including when walking the course.
All competitors must obey the instructions of the Organisers, Officials, Stewards and Fence Judges at all times. Failure to do so will result in elimination from competition. Outside assistance to horse and rider whilst on the course is forbidden and will result in elimination.
If a competitor receives First Aid treatment, they will only be allowed to continue with the permission of the First Aid official present on the day
Collecting ring / Warm up – Please be considerate to other users, always pass left to left and always jump with the red flag on the right.
Any horse competing HC must remain so for the whole day.
Do Not leave horses / ponies unattended in the lorry park and please do not leave horses tied up outside lorries or trailers
Objections must be lodged with the Secretary within 15 mins of the end of a class, together with a £10 non-returnable fee. The judge’s / organisers decision is FINAL and must be respected.
Any behaviour deemed inappropriate by the Officials will result in elimination from competition.
The Organisers reserve the right to alter the schedule, cancel or close a class or refuse an entry.
In the event of cancellation due to bad weather a refund or credit will be given minus a £5.00 admin fee per competitor.
All reasonable precautions have been taken to ensure the safety of competitors, officials and spectators. All persons attending Deer Park events do so entirely at their own risk.
No responsibility for any theft, damage, loss, accident or illness to any person, animal or property arising from any cause whatsoever connected with Deer Park Events, will be taken by the landowners, organisers or officials.
