Terms & Conditions
All competitors must be CTR Summer Dressage members for 2016. They must have qualified at a participating show and had their membership card signed by the show secretary.
Horses or ponies may be ridden by two riders at the championships but the following restrictions apply:
They can only compete at two consecutive levels. Eg if rider 1 competes with the horse and pony at Prelim Level, rider 2 cannot compete at any other level other than Intro (one level below) or Novice (one level above). No horse may enter more than 3 classes at the championship.
Two riders cannot compete the same horse/pony in the same class.
Both rider/horse/pony combinations must qualify to be able to ride at the finals. No Horse or rider substitutions are allowed.
This competition will be run under British Dressage rules. We welcome Para riders.
Please note: no dressage whips to be used in championship classes. Whips can be used for non-championship classes and music. No boots or bandages. Callers can only be used for warm up classes, and M&M/Cob classes or for riders who have proof of special needs (discretion of the show organiser). Juniors cannot have callers in championship classes.
If competitors go up a grade from qualification to the date of the final, they must declare this and they will be moved up, into a suitable level of class for the final.
Equine and rider combinations who have been placed in the top three in the open section at previous CT Rider Championships, must continue to compete in the open sections.
Please do not enter classes for which you are not eligible. If anyone enters illegally, they will be disqualified. Please note that spot checks will be made to authenticate Horse & Pony Passports which must be available for inspection at the final if required
By special request, if a veteran horse needs to downgrade because of age, horses that no longer are able to compete at the higher levels, even though they have points from a previous time, may be allowed to compete at a lower level at the discretion of the show directo
