Baileys Winter Jump Training Series 2012
|
|
|
When it comes to walking showjumping distances, riding accurate lines and warming up effectively, there is plenty of margin for error; that’s why taking part in British Eventing’s Jump Training is such a good idea.
The competition offers a unique opportunity to showjump in a competitive environment under the eagle eye of a BE Accredited Coach
Competitions are open to both BE members and non-members and include a course walk followed by a guided warm-up, where riders benefit from being put through their
paces before their round by a top trainer.
The first qualifier kicks off in the East Sussex at Golden Cross on 22nd January
2012. There will be 10 qualifiers
held around the country with the final held at Solihull on 6th April 2012. Full schedules are
available to Equine Affairs online now! Good luck to all our members competing

Introducing the new Riders Revealed Calendar for 2012!
|
|
|
Raising money for the ‘Get Claire Walking Campaign’ and Spinal Research
Nupfeed are really proud to be sponsoring this cheeky new calendar which features some of our best riders (including Nupafeed’s own Piggy French and Claire Robertson) looking a little less comfortable as they reveal all!
Featured riders include: Mark Todd, Mary King, Michael and William Whittaker, Andrew Thornton, Sam Thomas, Mark and Luke Tomlinson, Laura Bechtolsheimer and more!
Claire Lomas collided with a tree at Osberton Horse Trials in May 2007 leaving her with fractures to her neck, back and ribs. This Calendar is Claire’s brainchild, and she hopes to be able to raise enough money to buy a new robotic suit, due to be in the UK soon. She then plans to walk the London Marathon for Spinal Research!
This is a cause close to the heart of anyone who rides and the Riders Revealed Calendar is a great addition to any kitchen or tack room, so please visit our website at www.nupafeed.co.uk for more information.

Tri-Zone® Airlite Boots Win BETA Innovation Award
Equilibrium Products, the company behind the Tri-Zone® Airlite range of boots was the delighted recipient of an Innovation Award at the BETA (British Equestrian Trade Association) International Trade Fair. The Tri-Zone® Airlite Tendon and Fetlock boots won the title of Most Innovative Product in the prestigious Saddlery and Tack section.
Each year, BETA International brings the best and brightest new ideas in the equestrian industry together under one roof, allowing the most innovative companies to showcase their developments. The BETA Innovation Awards celebrate new products that will appeal to the trade and consumers alike.
Working from the results of three years of research and testing with scientists, vets and professional riders, Equilibrium has developed a highly innovative new tendon and fetlock boot. Using the latest high-tech materials, Equilibrium has created 'Airlite' technology in a range of boots designed to deliver high protection whilst maintaining lightness, flexibility and breathability.
The team of judges who included a vet, an international judge and selector, an equestrian commentator and Olympic event rider, commented, "We were extremely impressed with the extensive research and testing carried out by Equilibrium. It was interesting to see the way in which they had used their results to create a new technology that would address the problems of overheating caused by standard equine boots. We thought that they were competitively priced for such a high quality product – particularly one that is backed by such thorough research."
Laura Cutter, Marketing Manager at Equilibrium Products, says, "We were delighted to win this award showing that the industry has recognised the importance of a boot with high levels of leg protection balanced against potentially negative factors. All of our boots are thoroughly and independently tested before launch. We believe that horse boots are safety equipment and therefore deserve the same diligence in testing as any safety product. In our opinion, until now no other tendon and fetlock boot has been able to address all these issues in one product."
