MEET OUR TESTER: Joanne Harrison
Our Equine Affairs member and tester for Toggi’s Clermont Jacket
was Joanne Harrison.
I have been riding for 25 years and just had fun on my ponies when I was younger.
I brought my first "horse" when I was 30 and after much searching ended up with
Argent Facile a 7 year old, 16.1hh ex–racehorse sprinter – not at all what I was
looking for but I liked the look of him!!
Thankfully, Argent has a good temperment and a keen willingness to learn.
He took to his new career smoothly and learnt to show jump and has started
BSJA last year, he loves cross country in particular, his dressage could be
better as this is his weakest disclipline but we’re currently competing at
BD Elementary. He is a pleasure to ride and we have learnt everything together
right from the basics, as I hadn’t ever had "formal lessons" until I was 27!
Our ultimate aim is to compete a British Eventing Intro and we’re currently
competing at pre–intro (85cm) but whether we get to that level or not we’re
having a lot of fun along the way!

Having worn this
gilet
for a period of time I have to say it was fantastic! Being semi fitted it was a great fit and very comfortable to wear. I have worn this on a daily basis, mucking out, riding, grooming, and found it extremely warm on its own with a jumper underneath and also a great layering item of clothing when worn under a jacket particularly in the very cold weather we have just been experiencing!
It allowed me plenty of room to move in and wasn’t
restrictive
in any way particularly when riding. The pockets are fleece lined and very warm. It is also very lightweight to wear and not bulky.
The colour was great (navy) and looked very smart in my training sessions and went with most of my equine wardrobe!! I have washed it several times and it comes up lovely and clean and dries very quickly – it has needed washing after receiving the "Argent Seal of Approval" head rub against it! This is a must have for any rider as it will be warm enough to wear with a jumper round the yard, riding, or under a jacket in winter, warm enough for spring months (when they arrive!!) and will be an all year item of clothing in your wardrobe.
