This was an interesting ’tried and tested’ for me as I have to admit to not liking wellies! I tend to find they never really fit, often being flat footed with little arch support, not ideal when you can be in them for long hours doing yard duties. They are rarely warm and I often found I would have to buy a bigger size in order to wear thick warm socks inside! So, in summary, it has been a long time since I have had anything nice to say about wellies!

I was really pleased to have the opportunity to review these wellies and I am very happy to say I have now found the ’welly of choice’! I put on my Toggi Wellies and immediately found 2 things – they fitted brilliantly and they were warm! It was as if I had put on a pair of very comfy trainers. The design supported my feet well and they were clearly insulated, the warmth was immediately apparent from my toes to my lower legs – especially in the temperatures which hit –10C this week!

An important point that makes these Toggi wellies the real all rounder, is the grip on the sole. Recently I had been to collect the horses from the field in my old wellies, and ended up on my bottom having shot forward in the mud – not the end of the world, but a little dangerous when you have a couple of horses in hand. Toggi’s Lady Wanderer has very good grip and even in the mud, snow and ice they have kept me on my feet and confident around the yard and horses.

I have really put them through the ringer but as you will see from the pictures it seems very hard to make them look dirty! From a fashion point of view – the yard in winter can be dreary and grey but these Pink wellies are a striking colour and I have to say it is super having this flash of colour on the yard. My Toggi Lady Wanderers are now the envy of my liveries who are always looking for the next best product on the horsey market!
