MEET OUR TESTERS: Hayley Sharman & Harry Equine Affairs Marketing Director and tester for Equilibrium’s Stretch & Flex Exercise Bandages was Hayley Sharman & Harry. Harry is a 4 year old Dutch Warmblood gelding who was imported from Holland just 4 months ago. Harry has been out to a few shows and is being brought on slowly at home giving him experience in all disciplines until we decide on his career! Due to his age and very long gangly legs, boots and bandages are a must for both turnout and exercise at the moment so this was the perfect product for us to test! |

We’ve been using the Stretch & Flex® Exercise Bandages for nearly 6 weeks now and we’ve been really impressed. The bandages are lined with a cool space fabric which means you don’t need to use a wrap underneath which can often make the legs very hot and sweaty - great idea! The bandages are really easy to put on, look great and are very soft – they also wash up well and are quick to dry. We’ve found the horses legs stay remarkably cool even during prolonged exercise which would be particularly useful for horses coming back from tendon or ligament injuries. They come in packs of 2 and the bags they come in are really useful for keeping them clean & tidy. The length was perfect for Harry which gave a great fit and an overall smart finish. I’ve previously always opted for fleece bandages over exercise but these will definitely be a regular both at home and at shows. A really super and well thought out product with both the horse and rider in mind.

The bandages have been designed to reduce the build up of heat through the use of
technological materials, giving the leg maximum support that a bandage can offer
whilst keeping it cool at the same time. The bandage itself is designed to allow
freedom of movement; the outer material is an open weave fabric which has a four
way stretch for this purpose. 50% of the bandage is then lined with the cool
space fabric. This soft, flexible fabric is key to reducing the build up of
heat in the bandage. The bandages come in four different lengths to ensure
you get the right fit for your horse/pony and have left and right legs so the
logo is facing the correct way up when you come to the end of the bandage.
On the inside of the bandage there are clear instructions of how the bandage is to be applied. This, along with the forgiving materials will minimise uneven application. Read more about cool space liner at www.stretchandflex.com |
