These Championships are not affiliated to British Dressage

Qualifying Criteria for Unaffliated Dressage Competitions from 1st September 2025 - 30th April 2026

• Qualification is awarded to the top 3 horse/rider combinations in a class providing they have achieved a score of 65% or more.

Restrictions for horses that are or have been registered to British Dressage:

• Introductory qualification: Not to have won more than 20 BD points at Prelim or above at the time of qualification.
• Prelim qualification: Not to have won more than 20 BD points at Novice or above at time of qualification
• Novice qualification: Not to have won more than 20 BD points at Elementary or above at time of qualification.

In the event that you have gained qualification in more than one different classes you may take your place in a MAXIUMUM of two of the Championship Classes.

Winning combinations of championship classes in 2025 will not be eligible to compete in the same or a lower-level championship class in 2026.

Entries must be recieved by Wednesday 13th May 2026.

 Note: Qualifying cards should be given or e-mailed to competitors who gain qualification on the day of competition.  Qualified competitors must register details via the Hartpury website - Hartpury South West Unaffiliated Championships

Late entries may be accepted at the organizers’ discretion and will include a £3.00 late entry fee. Payment for late entries must be completed prior to the day of the show.

Tests may not be called for Championship classes.

Whips are not permitted in Championship classes.
 

Entries in advance. You can enter using a Secure Online Entry System. Payment is secure and it goes directly to Hartpury University & College.
You will receive an email confirmation of your class entry and payment.

Entries close Wednesday 13th May at 5PM
Late entries will only be taken if time and space allows

Championship Entry fee: £20.00. Late entry fee £3.00 per class.

Championship Rosettes to 10th place and prizes in kind

Refunds will only be provided for withdrawals made prior to the close of entry and will be subject to a £1.50 booking fee and a £2.50 administration fee. 

Entries may be carried over after the close of entries if withdrawn at least 48 hours before the start times are published.

1 Unaffiliated Dressage Rules and Conditions

• To be run in accordance with British Dressage Rules.
• Class sizes will be restricted and entries may close earlier if full.
• Please leave an A5 SAE with the Secretary for return of dressage sheets.
• All horses and ponies must be four years old and over.
• Entries must be received a week prior to the event. Late entries may be taken at the Organiser’s discretion. Late entry fee £3 per class.
• All competitors are required to wear headgear that complies with the highest current safety standard.
• Start times will be given on the Thursday prior to the event, between 2pm-5pm online via www.hartpuryequineevents.co.uk or myridinglife
• Hartpury Equine has a number of indoor and outdoor arenas which will be used for these competitions.
• Horses and Ponies MUST NOT be tied to the side of horseboxes or trailers and left unattended – please clear up any mess left by you or your horses in the bins and muck trailers provided
