Special Classes

COMPETITION STRUCTURE AND SCORING - Each course will include fences 6 - 8 show jumps followed by 6-8 simulated XC fences which may include angled rails, combinations, dummy ditches, water trays etc. Penalties will be awarded according to BE rules and the winner will be the combination which completes the course with the least number of faults an closest to the optimum time.

  • There will be no more than 16 jumping efforts in total.
  • British Eventing compliant XC kit must be worn.
  • Stop watches are not permitted
  • The Judges’ decision is final.
  • The winner will be the competitor with the lowest number of penalties. In the event of a tie the winner will be the one closest to the optimum time. The optimum time is calculated based on a speed of 325 mpm with the course designer depending upon the size and terrain of the arena.
  • Please print or bring a number which must be worn in a number bib and be clearly visible.
  • The whole round will be timed.
  • *Time allowed is twice the optimum time*

Withdrawals/Refunds
  • All competitions are pre-entry only, no refund or transfer is possible after initial close of entries date as published on the schedule.
  • All withdrawals to be made via e-mail please.
  • The booking fee is non-refundable in all cases.
  • For withdrawals before the published closing date refunds of the Entry Cost can be made less £3.00 Admin Fee alternatively, we can offer a free transfer to another event.
  • No refunds or transfers can be made during the late entry period unless we are able to replace it from a wait list.
  • Please see relevant rule books for additional policies in place for  British Eventing.

Terms & Conditions

 CONDITIONS OF ENTRY.

  • All entries and payments to be made online.
  • ALL horses must not be under current investigation for infectious diseases including, for example, Equine Herpes Virus (EHV), Equine Influenza, Strangles.
  • All Horses must not have been in contact with and is not kept on the same premises as a horse known to have or be under investigation for the neurological form of EHV, Equine Influenza, Strangles or Equine Viral Arteritis. 
  • All activity will be in accordance with the advice from the relevant national body, and ANY social distancing guidelines must always be adhered to.
  • Please keep your time on site to a minimum, please don’t arrive more than 40 minutes before your test/round/ride time and leave the site as soon as it is safe for your horse to travel.
  • Hand sanitising stations will be provided and members are encouraged to take home their rubbish where possible.
  • Please park considerately, a safe distance from each other. Current recommendations are 10m apart if there is tying up on both sides of your box; 5m where tying up is on one side, and 3m apart if no tying up is used.
  • HORSES/PONIES MUST NOT BE LEFT TIED UP OUTSIDE UNATTENDED.
  • All competitors will be limited to 4 supporters per horse. No other person(s) should be in attendance.
  • Please do not park in front of or block access to the loading bay.
  • PLEASE PRINT/MAKE YOUR OWN ALLOCATED RIDER NUMBER OR USE YOUR NUMBER DISK. NUMBERS WILL BE ALLOCATED WITH TIMES. THIS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES AND MUST BE EASILY READABLE.
  • NO spectators or filming are allowed in any of the warm up or competition arenas. Please use viewing areas..
  • You are expected to ride on your allocated times. If you do not do so, you risk being unable to compete.
  •  All scores/results will be published online at the end of the day.
  • PLEASE CLEAR UP ANY DROPPINGS OR HAY IN THE LORRY PARK.
  • Dogs are allowed but MUST be kept on a short lead at all times. No Exceptions.
