CROSS COUNTRY ARENA RULES

1.                THE GRAND PRIX ARENA IS NOT PART OF THE XC HIRE.  XC HIRE INCLUDES LAKESIDE ARENA PLUS MIDDLE OUTDOOR ARENA.

2.                PLEASE KEEP TO YOUR HOUR SLOT AS BOOKED – DO NOT ENTER EARLY OR LEAVE LATE.  WARM UP AND COOL DOWN TIME SHOULD BE INCLUDED WITHIN YOUR HOUR.

3.                NO LUNGEING OR FITTENING CANTER WORK.

4.                DROPPINGS MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY

5.                THE LAKESIDE ARENA IS NOT TO BE USED FOR WARM UP OR COOLING DOWN FOR TRAINING/LESSON CLIENTS.

6.                THERE SHOULD ONLY BE 2 ONLINE XC BOOKINGS PER HOUR, PLUS OCCASIONAL CLIENTS WHO ARE HERE FOR TRAINING WHO MAY MOVE FROM THE GP TO LAKESIDE DURING THEIR LESSON. (MAX 2 EXTRA)

7.                GATES MUST BE CLOSED AT ALL TIMES.

8.                PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE TO OTHER RIDERS ON COURSE –  ADULT SPECTATORS ON FOOT TO REMAIN ON GRASSED AREAS FOR THEIR OWN SAFETY.  WE DO NOT ALLOW ANY CHILD SPECTATORS (UN-MOUNTED) ON THE XC COURSE AT ALL UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.  SAFE VIEWING IS ACCESSIBLE FROM THE VIEWING PLATFORM.  ANY CHILDREN FOUND ON THE COURSE WHILST HORSES ARE BEING RIDDEN WILL BE REMOVED AND THE RIDER THAT THEY ARE WATCHING WILL ALSO BE ASKED TO LEAVE.

 

9.               BODY PROTECTORS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES ON THE CROSS COUNTRY COURSE.  THIS IS MANDATORY AND WOULD REMIND ALL RIDERS THAT THERE IS A NEW BE RULE REQUIRING LEVEL 3 BLUE BETA 2018 STANDARD TO BE WORN.  THE PURPLE BETA 2009 IS NO LONGER PERMITTED AND MUST BE REPLACED BY MONDAY 8TH APRIL 2024.

 

All of our XC fences which have been built to BE standard have been set up on our all-weather waterside xc arena with different levels between 70cm - 1m,  inc steps and a  water complex, ditches and drops.
The course is rebuilt approx. every 2 weeks.  If you require a specific height, please contact the office as the jumps vary from week to week.
This is perfect for all levels of horse and rider.
BACK PROTECTORS AND HATS WITHOUT A SOLID PEAK MUST BE WORN WHILE USING THE CROSS COUNTRY COURSE. YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE COURSE IF YOU ARE NOT WEARING ONE AND WILL NOT BE REFUNDED YOUR ENTRY FEE. THIS IS FOR YOUR SAFETY AS THE CROSS COUNTRY JUMPS ARE SOLID.

THIS IS NOT A SOLE USE HIRE - WE ALLOW UP TO 2 RIDERS PER HOUR  (Please note: Caroline Moore may be teaching also)

Payment is secure and it goes directly VVEC.
You will receive an email confirmation of your booking and payment

£27 per horse/Rider inc vat per hour
No more than 2 horses out on the Course at any one time
PLEASE REMOVE ALL DROPPING IMMEDIATELY!  WE WILL INVOICE YOU £10 POO PICKING FEE IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS.

Withdrawals/Refunds

Cancellations for any day with less than 48 hours’ notice will be non-refundable - no exceptions!

All refunds will incur 10% admin fee.  Transfers (If giving 48 hours notice) to another date/time or to our carried over list to use at a different date/time are FOC.

Payment must be made at the time of booking to secure, no bookings will be held without payment ANYONE FOUND ON THE COURSE THAT HAS NOT BOOKED WILL BE FINED £50 PLUS THE £33 FEE!!

Use of the facility is not exclusive, others may be using the course at the same time. Numbers will be limited depending on the arena/s that are in use.
DROPPINGS MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY - FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN AN INVOICE BEING SENT TO YOUR ADDRESS.
Each booking must have someone on the ground with them for safety reasons incase of accidents and to poo pick- this is not negotiable. The arena must be thoroughly poo picked as each dropping is done to prevent it being ridden through- Not at just at the end of your hire.    Anyone to be found riding unattended will be requested to leave and not be refunded.
We will carry out Vehicle checks so make sure you have booked before you come and that you have booked for the correct number of horses on the correct day! Anyone not respecting this request will be asked to leave, even if you have booked the incorrect day by mistake.
There are muck tubs for picking up droppings in the lorry park, but please do not muck out your lorry into them unless you empty them onto the muck heap
Be aware we do have ground maintenance staff and machinery on site that moves in and around the lorry park. They will be as careful as possible to not alarm your horse, please let them know if your horse is likely to be alarmed.
Horses are not to be tied to the outside of horse boxes at any time and there is to be absolutely no hay nets- no exceptions
All dogs must be on leads at all times- Everywhere!
Do not attempt to jump a fence which is beyond your or your horses’ ability
Any damages must be reported
Hard hats without a fixed peak and body protectors must be worn at all times and must conform to the current British standard
