No Stress Dressage Sections Explained
Within each dressage test that you enter to compete with No Stress Dressage, you are able to enter a section to be placed within. These sections do not make any difference to how the judges score you - their scoring is based on the overall British Dressage scoring system, however the sections ensure that you are placed within others of a similar ability.
First Ever Dressage Test This is for the combination of horse and rider’s first ever dressage test together in any dressage competition. Please note this section follows BD Tack and Dress Rules with the allowance of treeless saddles and the exception of bridle numbers.
Open This is our most popular sections and is for anyone to enter with no criteria. Please note this section follows BD Tack and Dress Rules with the allowance of treeless saddles and the exception of bridle numbers.
Restricted To qualify for this section you must not have won 1st, 2nd or 3rd more than 3 times at that level in any dressage competition. Please note this section follows BD Tack and Dress Rules with the allowance of treeless saddles and the exception of bridle numbers.
Under 16 This section does what it says on the tin - you must be under 16 to ride in this section. Please note this section follows BD Tack and Dress Rules with the allowance of treeless saddles and the exception of bridle numbers.
Lead Rein Lead Rein is for anyone who is currently riding on the lead rein - there is no age limit for this section but make sure you get a good leader that can remember the test! Please note we also allow para riders into this section if they are unable to ride off the lead rein.
Para Rider In order to ride in this section you must have been medically diagnosed with a permanent physical impairment. In this section we do allow tack adaptations in relation to the condition if needed. Please note this section is off the lead rein only - any para riders on the lead rein should compete in the lead rein section.
Veteran This section is for anyone riding a horse who is over the age of 18 years old. Please note this section follows BD Tack and Dress Rules with the allowance of treeless saddles and the exception of bridle numbers.
