We are offering the opportunity to “Have a go” at something new. On Sunday the 11th of June at Sparsholt College you will have a chance to try your hand at the following;

Show jumping or poles. All levels catered for. Group lesson for 1 hour with up to 4 in a group with Zana Sparrow.

Dressage training or Test Riding with Nadine Gregory. Individual 30 minute session. You will be warmed up ready for your given time. Choose from a list of tests for test riding. Ride your test and get judged by Nadine. Then get feedback and tuition on how to improve before riding the test again if you wish. You could also just have a lesson if you prefer.
Tests - Intro A, Prelim 7, Novice 27, Elementary 40, Med 75, AM 98

Natural Horsemanship with Zana Sparrow. This will be an in-hand group session with up to 4 in a group. Zana will give you tuition and tips on handling and working your horse on the ground.

Showing with Vera Huddleston- This will be split into ridden and in hand sessions. It will include the following areas;
What to wear.
How to turn out.
The format of a show class.
What’s expected of horse and rider in in-hand and ridden classes.
What the judge is looking for.

All the above is aimed at everyone in the riding club. If you have never tried the above then this is your chance to do so and see if you like it! It could be that you would like to just have a practice, try a new discipline or a new level. All training will be on the all weather outdoor arenas.

The cost will be subsidised by the club and each event will be £20. We ask that you only enter one event per member to begin with to allow everyone to have a go. If we do have spaces available 2 weeks before the event, then we open it up to members to do another discipline. Spaces will be limited so please book early to secure your entry.
PLEASE State what level you are at in the NOTES SECTION on MRL . ie height jumping or poles, chosen dressage test or lesson instead, in-hand or ridden section for showing.

Should you need to cancel, unfortunately we can only give a refund if we can fill your place.
