Terms & Conditions

1. All K.I.S.S. events are restricted to riders aged 16 years and over riding horses exceeding 14.2hh. 2. All K.I.S.S. competitions are judged in accordance with British Show-jumping (BS) rules as per the 2022 rulebook. This includes tack, riding equipment, and standard boot rules when competing. The judges’ decision remains final. 3. In the majority of competitions, prize money is paid in accordance with the BS rule of 1 prize per 5 competitors or part thereof. The exceptions to this are in terms of special competitions, the rules for which will be published in advance on the schedule for the relevant show. In certain circumstances when entries are below 10 riders, then a sweepstake will take place. This involves riders jumping for the accumulated amount of entry fee that the class has drawn. For example if there were 5 riders each paying £40 to enter the class, then the winner of the class would take a total prize fund of £200. If there are less than 10 riders, then the top riders will share the accumulated entry fee 60/40%. So for example in a class of 8 riders each paying £50 (£400 in entries), then the winner would receive £240 and the runner-up £160. 4. Points counting towards the leading rider awards will be awarded as per the attached appendix ‘A’. 5. Entries will be made in advance and only altered if a minimum of 24 hours’ notice is given to the show organiser. 6. Drawn orders with relevant start time will be posted before each day of competition, and only in the event of unforeseen circumstance (and agreement of the judges) will alterations be considered. It should be noted that alterations to competition start times may adjust by up to 30 minutes, therefore competitors should take this into account when competing. 7. Stables must be cleaned prior to departure. The fee taken beforehand in relation to this will be reimbursed within 14 days of the show, once it has been confirmed that this has taken place to the satisfaction of the stable manager. 8. Competitors who attend with Stallions must ensure that the appropriate discs and ribbons are displayed in accordance with BS rules. If not in possession of these discs and ribbons on arrival, competitors should attend at the show office where staff will assist. 9. Any objections to the outcome of any competition should be made in writing to the show secretary within one hour of the competition concluding and a deposit of £100 paid. 10. When it is decreed by the show organiser that mounted presentations will take place at the conclusion of a competition, then those competitors to whom this refers, will be present as requested. Failure to do so, will result in any associated prized money being forfeited. 11. Competitors who wish to compete HC in a class in which they have already competed will require to attend at the show office and purchase another entry before they will be allowed to compete. No exceptions will be made to this rule. 12. It is a requirement of the K.I.S.S. series that competitors must compete at least three times over the course of the qualifiers to be eligible for the K.I.S.S. championships in November 2022. 13. Horses may only be ridden by one rider in each class. However, a different rider may compete it in a different class.
