ELIGIBILITY - Open to individual Pony Club Members, but excluding any combination of horse/pony and rider that have represented their Branch/Centre at INTERMEDIATE or above (Summer) Area qualifiers for The Pony Club Show Jumping Championships or been placed 1st - 3rd as INDIVIDUAL in (PC90) NOVICE or above at Pony Club Showjumping Championships. Rider is not eligible if they have previously competed at the Open Grand Prix Championships or The Pony Club Show Jumping Final at Hickstead. (This does not include any other classes held in conjunction with Area Qualifiers). Riders cannot compete in the Open Grand Prix Area competition if they have ridden in the Area Debut Competition. NB: You may not compete in this class wearing a festive costume

Classes 1 - 6 are open to all.
Festive dress is encouraged in all classes EXCEPT Spring Festival qualifiers.
If you enter Class 1, the same combination may not enter Class 3, and likewise for all classes.
All classes will be single phase
You must enter as an individual. If you are competing as part of a team, your individual score will also count towards your team score - you only jump the round once. Teams to consist of 3 or 4 competitors. Best 3 scores to count. Team managers to submit teams by email to: hudgellsarah@gmail.com by 9pm on 21st September.
*New for this year* Mini show jumping 30 and 40cm in the outdoor cafe arena (see classes 7 and 8 above)

Please read the following Covid regulations:
If the show is cancelled due to a formal government lockdown, entries will be refunded in full MINUS THE ADMIN FEE.
If Covid guidelines change between the schedule being released and the date of the show, all competitors will be expected to adhere to guidelines set.
A maximum of 5 competitors will be allowed in each indoor warm up areas (one flat one jump)
A collecting ring steward will call each competitor to the International arena at their allotted time.
There will be a Flamstead Steward to adjust fences in the warm up arena, no member of the public may change jumps
Masks are encouraged in indoor spaces
Social distancing must be observed throughout the show. ARRIVE COMPETE LEAVE

Bio security measures
All horses must be travelled with passports which can demonstrate that all vaccinations are up to date (12 months).
Horses/ponies must show no clinical signs of the following when arriving at the centre:
Recent cough of unknown cause
Recent nasal discharge of unknown cause
Enlarged lymph nodes
Fever
Recent onset of neurological signs of unknown cause
Diarrhoea

They must not be under current investigation for EHV infection, have not been in contact with and is not kept on the same premises as a horse known to have or be under investigation for EHV, or have not travelled out of the country for the past 28 days.

1. Entry to any Flamstead Branch of the Pony Club competition authorises photographs/videos/other images taken by outside agencies/Pony Club. Photographers at the competition may publish in the press and internet for publicity purposes. If you do not wish a photographer to take your photo please contact the show organiser.
2. All competitions will be run in accordance with the current guidelines set by the Pony Club 2021 modified where applicable.
3. No competitor will be allowed to compete unless their riding hat complies with the current Pony Club standards. (See www.pcuk.org) All competitors’ hats to be tagged by THEIR own branch.
4. Objections to the Secretary, in writing, within 15 minutes of the incident with a £20 deposit. Deposit will be returned if objection is upheld.
5. The decision of the Judge is final. A competitor may be disqualified/eliminated for the improper or excessive use of whips, spurs, dangerous riding or bad language. The whip may be used a maximum of 3 times in any one round. Riders may not hit their horse before the start of the course and may be eliminated for doing so. The Judge may disqualify a competitor if in their opinion the horse is lame, sick or exhausted.
6. Neither the organiser, landowner, nor any person acting on their behalf accept any liability for loss, damage, accident, injury or illness to horses, riders, spectators or any other persons or property whatsoever. The organisers have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the Health & Safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards.
7.Non Pony Club competitors are not covered by the Pony club insurance and must have their own third party liability cover. Flamstead Branch of the Pony Club and its organisers are not legally responsible for non members and their insurance will not cover you.
8. No horse or pony under 5 years of age may compete.
9. No member may ride more than 3 horses or ponies in the same class. The same pony may be ridden by 2 different riders in classes 1, 7 and 8 only.
10. All dogs must be on a lead (extendable leads locked short) at all times.
11. No mucking out of horse-boxes and trailers is permitted in the lorry/car park.
12. All ages as on 1st January 2021
13.The organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry or vary or cancel the event without explanation.
14. IT IS THE COMPETITOR’S RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THEIR DRESS AND TACK COMPLIES WITH PONY CLUB REGULATIONS 2021 FOR THE DISCIPLINE THEY ARE TAKING PART IN. COMPETITORS FOUND IN BREACH OF THESE REGULATIONS MAY BE DISQUALIFIED AT ANY TIME DURING OR AFTER THE COMPETITION
